I just read this in an article about Tim Duncan's illness last night:

According to the Elias Sports Bureau, teams in NBA playoff history had been 0-392 when trailing by 16 or more points with four minutes or less left in the game.

So the Spurs are the first team to accomplish this!

Sorry - there have been so many threads started since last night, and I didn't have time to read through all of them. I did check the thread les and didn't see anything about it. So I'm sorry I'm repeating something already posted.

    This was a GREAT comeback!
Something that is accomplishable in the regular season games, but not in the post season.

    Thanks for sharing the news!

How the Spurs respond in the next game is crucial. The Warriors lost on a last second shot against the Nuggets and then won the next game. Also of all the other teams that have blown 16 point leads have gone back and won the next game.

Don't apologize to him when he's being a head.

Some threads should be made again (or bumped) if they're no longer on the first page. It ain't like this was ty news.

Someone on ESPN said it (I think it was on Numbers Never Lie), it was only like 3 teams over a huge amount of years or something, and it was a pidgeon-holed stat like (blowing a 16 point lead in game 1 of the 2nd round) or something. . .but I don't believe it signified road teams. It was probably home teams, which the Warriors aren't. Not to mention we were rusty.

Spurs will probably win by double figs in game 2. Curry isn't gonna keep hitting miracle 30+ foot threes at a 80% rate again, and Duncan's not going to be playing sick all night. Not to mention Manu played like and it took Tony 3 1/2 quarters to shake off his rust. Warriors shot like 56% through 3 1/2 and we shot 37%. Still won despite their huge luck and our rust.
