The Spurs continue to over-react to limited offensive players like Harrison Barnes and Bogut, continuously leaving open ing 3-point shooters..

    - Leonard stupidly reacts to Bogut 15 feet from the basket, Thompson makes an open 3

    - Spurs close out hard on scrubby Draymond Green, Thompson open jump shot

    - Spurs double Harrison Barnes in the post, passes to Bogut for an open layup

    - Spurs over play another Green drive, open 3 for Thompson

    - Spurs over play Barnes inside, Bogut gets the loose ball and scores an open layup

    - Spurs over play Barnes inside, kicks it out and ball gets to Thompson for an open 3 on the baseline

Klay Thompson has 11 field goals at the half, only 2 or maybe 3 were off the dribble..smh, tbh..

The Spurs should be encouraging Barnes, Bogut, Green and anybody other than Curry and Thompson to shoot as much as possible..horrible strategy from Pop..

Its driving me ing nuts man. They're not picking him up quickly enough in transition and they're trying to shut down thats not killing them and giving open 3s.

Surreal and disgraceful performance by the Spurs. Poor fans who paid money to watch that BS.

I'd take my chances with a contested Barnes/Green floater than wide open shots for Klay/Curry tbh.

    Exactly..

I'd take an open floater from Barnes or Green or Bogut over a contested 3 from Curry and Thompson, tbh..

Pop the bed with this horrible defensive gameplan. It doesn't help that Ginobili and Green have been giving Thompson numerous clean looks from 3-point range. Spurs need to wake the up and Pop needs to re-insert Splitter into the starting line-up.

All GREAT ing points. I can live with Green, Bogut, and Barnes shooting jump shots or drives in the paint. Over helping on these scrubby assholes is what is getting Curry and Thompson all their open looks. It's frustrating as ...

Everytime a scrub post ups the Spurs double, I don't get it.

Stay with the shooters and try something different. I would go small and switch on everything, tbh. Provoke them into playing one on one.

You are completely on point. Everyone can see it. The question is, why isn't popovich addressing this.

It's pretty clear .... after 1 and 1/2 games that the Spurs can't match up with thIs team...and they know it. And to think lee isn't even playing. Pop needs to wakeup, small ball isn't working! (Go figure)..

This is a guy that was outcoached by Avery ing Johnson with a prime Duncan putting up insane numbers that series. He's always been overrated and prone to panicking in playoff games

I guess Pop thinks the same, at least on the small ball part.

They continue to double everybody is posting, driving me nuts too.

need to cut that lead under 10 before the fourth.

btw we should launch a game blog here, the official one is unreadable tbh

Harrison Barnes makes shots, that's fine..let him shoot 20 shots a game, it's better than Curry and Thompson getting not from range..

I'd rather die, knowing that I lost to Harrison Barnes getting hot and beating me, rather than giving Klay Thompson open shots all game..

If you let him open he will score efficiently.
thing is also we have to play them more physical.

    7 pts game. Nice run
