Best young down to anal?
Kawhi Leonard
Jimmy Butler
Klay Thompson
There is a nice group of second year 6-7 DTA's (Defense/3s/Athletism) in the league/2nd round.
Which one would you take and why?
How many games would a team with these three guys on the wings + a frontcourt of Faried/Drummond/Gibson + a PG rotation of Lin/Mills win?
Why the is Klay Thompson even on the list???
What's your problem with him?
You mentioned defense and Klay Thompson in your post...isn't that enough?![]()
Did you even see him play? And I'm not just talking about his defense on TP.
I may agree that he is the worst defender of the three guys mentioned.
I'd have Jimmy over him, but not 100% sure with KL, which seems to be longer (wingspan+huge hands) but also slower, making him better off the ball but not sure about onball.
BTW: Only because a guy has light skin, he isn't a bad defender...I have the felling some people still seem to think that way (even worse if they have foreign names...there is a reason Bellinelly defended Lebron James).
Klay taking this poll way to important right now.![]()
The question was in regards to defense... Noone said Thomson isn't a good scorer.
Son he averages 14 ppg on 43% FG and 40% 3pts. It was a fluke game sure, but the kid's legit.
Everyone but kawhi
16.6 ppg
I meant regular season.
lol you are right,thanks..
Just goes to show that the kid's real good, bound to have a few wow games once in a while.
So Thompson and Leonard (on a Spurs Board) are killing Jimmy right now.
My guess is:
Thompson has the best potential to be more than a premium role player. No one would be shocked if we call him one of the best 2-3 wings in like 3 years (Harden,...???). But right now he is still a DTA.
Leonard plays bigger than the other two. He is the only of these guys that also could play stretch4 for long periods. Other than that I don't know. He gets more rebounds and may be a bigger threat for steals, but I don't have him over the other two when thinking defense and reliable shooting.
Jimmy may just be underrated. I think he more or less is Klay with even better defense(and in my book Klay is a supreme defender), but without the capability to get hot like Klay offensively.
As for offense, its Thompson and its not even close, he can create for him self, and he is a much much better shooter than Leonard. Kawhi is just a player that fits good into the spurs system, if he goes to a more free flow offense type hes pretty worthless.
As for Defense, right now id go with Leonard, hes longer, and probably more athletic, but give me Klay any day of the week.
Remy lacroix tbh
Scrub mills ain't winning
so.....Leonard may be discallyfied as DTA now? (Thompson may be as well)
