Looks like some Warriors were reading some press clippings. Curry with the bad wheel. Not that I'd wish an injury on anyone, but I'm glad Danny didn't even touch him on the play.
Honestly, that's what the little er gets for trying to do 400,000 crossovers at the 3-point line per game. Stupid ing jump shooting team. Hope the Spurs come out as focused as they did tonight on Sunday.

Gutsy win. I just couldn't believe that the Spurs were going to let this Warriors team beat them the way they did.

The Spurs have needed to face some adversity for quite some time and this was a good response.

Big props to Danny Green. We like calling him "soft" or a "choker" but he knows how to shut down opposing PG's.

Also CoJo deserves recognition for limiting Jack in the time that he played.
Green is a streaky shooter. Ran cold in the WCF, the worst time possible. Game 1 was huge for him, 22 points.

To start every quarter spurs played like a rookie team, could of easily blowen GS out of the game if not for their un-forced TO's. To their credit they responded everytime GS made a comeback.

Pop made the correct adjusments. Still want to see less of Neal and Bonner.

Great D, great win on the road. massive confidence boost for them

15 and 8 from a starting SF who doesn't get the ball a lot is good. The only bad is his FT shooting.

Not to mention he shut Klay Thompson down tonight. He showed up on both ends.

Splitter made a huge difference. Establish the big guys inside and force the Warriors to adjust. They had to play big and it played in to our hands
Splitter also made some dumb turnovers that shifted the momentum to the Warriors' side.

Spurs reminded everyone tonight of their vampire qualities: they do not die of their own right, you have to put the
silver bullet in them. Not every team has the temperament to find a steady hand, take aim and finish the job. Yet that ability is wholly necessary, several times over, to win a le. Do the Warriors have elements of that? We're going to find out. At the risk of coming too soon with this, what with the series still up for grabs, there's plenty for the Warriors to gain simply by having the chance to compete against such a battle-tested nucleus and system. The Warriors get to find out exactly how much championship-caliber mettle they have before getting locked into this roster. Beating a team like the Nuggets can happen because of an untimely injury or a quirky matchup; beating the Spurs is never an accident. Should the Warriors be found wanting, owner Joe Lacob and GM Bob Myers can set about adding the necessary players and pieces and poise. It's still a loss -- but it's one that, if used wisely, thanks to the opponent, can pay long-term dividends.

Let's not forget Diaw posting up on Dremmond in the first half. Cracked me up tbh, but Diaw is a minor revelation in this series.

Dear god, yes. He started the fourth with two consecutive turnovers followed by a foul. He was a one-man wrecking crew for our lead.

Thankfully, Pop put Duncan back in and things calmed down for us.

Except the general fan (and league) consensus is that he can be much more.

3 Things: Diaw played more than 6 minutes #BorisGame2Mystery, Kawhi on Klay (Bowen on Peja '08 adjustment) does wonders, Joseph has someone to guard in Jack (meaning he can stay on court longer, give TP more rest).
What was amazing to me was not only did Diaw play more minutes, he was actually aggressive in the post on offense.

Diaw didn't pump fake himself out.. He took good shots.. Just need to rebound and limit those stupid second chance shots.

That formality of sending the Lakers home did produce some rust and/or complacency.

Still, Mark Jackson is coaching in the NBA, for those who take it serious as a profession.

That just shows how goood KY is. Sort of like Manu, he finds ways to contribute when shot is failing . He yet to play at his best though. On offense still looks nervous and hesitent. Missed 2easy fast breaks and yes the freethrows.

    He's a good role player.
but, but this is going to be his team soon.

Fans are always looking for a young player to put on a pedestal. Leonard can't just be a good role-player to some people. He's good and is going to get better, but a team with him as its best player wouldn't go anywhere.

That being said, he did a pretty good job on Thompson. Not that great, though.

I started the game thread downstairs on behalf of the Warriors and Curry got injured

Green's defense on Curry was superb. He also hit some "sssshhhhhh" 3's late in the game to take the crowd out of it.

Kawhi did a great job on Thompson. He's also been crashing the boards hard this series. Most of his points are coming off putbacks with a few post ups mixed in if he has a mismatch. His shooting hasnt really been there though, and thats been a problem at the line. He's still made some clutch baskets and has been an overall plus, so if he can get hot in a game or two it would make us that much more dangerous.

CoJo came in and raped Jack on the defensive end. All the frustrating little blow bys, pull ups, and fadeaways that he was pulling off in game 2 werent working against Cory. By getting into Jack's jersey and moving his feet smartly/not biting on pump fakes, he frustrated him and cooled their run. He is still too passive on offense though. Passed up a wide open 3, and the only jumper he took was an off balance fadeaway with the clock running down. He needs to shoot and attack when open.
