It rarely fails that, when I look at a box score for the Pacers, Hill will have at least as many shot attempts as the points leader and be something like 5 for 20.
Just out of curiosity, why is he starting? He wasn't worth a as a PG in SA, and he's not worth a as a PG in Indiana. Nothing against George or the photo of his penis, but surely there are some decent shooters out there that Indiana could use. Is it a homerism issue with those yokels?

I fully expect to see Hill traded again asap. If you look back even into the beginning of the 1st series, he's had a couple of games where he shot 50%. The rest of the time he's been around 30%. When a PG takes 15 or more shots a game and goes 0-6 from 3, 1-7 from 3, 4 for 17 for the night... regularly... something is wrong. Hill is not cut out to be a PG.

Who do you want to take the shots op? Hibbert-West-George arnt exactly the type of guys who would average 20 shots a game even if you wanted them to shot 20..

Read my question. Why is Hill a starting PG? The Pacers should acquire a true PG which would mean George only gets shots when he's open and isn't the 1st option after the inbounds play.

In tonight's game, for instance, the Knicks left him open all game and overplayed the rest of the Pacers, leading to like 8-9 open 3 attempts for Hill..
Indiana has been actively interested in acquiring a PG IIRC, but the options are scarce..I'd be surprised if they don't actively pursue a PG in the off-season, especially with Granger's contract ending next year..
The PG is always the 1st option because he brings the ball up the court. Not the 1st option on designed plays, but by the nature of the role of PG. The number of shots he takes says he's a shooting PG. The fact he doesn't get a lot of assists attests to that a bit as well. A PG who averages 35 minutes a game and less that 5 assists isn't a pass first guard unless you just think his team cannot hit from the setups he gives them. The number of shots he takes says he's not looking to set people up or that he simply cannot do that effectively (just like in SA). He doesn't have great court vision or court awareness and his handles aren't that great. Combo perhaps, but any decent SG in the league can do that if called upon. He's just bringing the ball up.
Now see, take notes. This is a decent answer. Hill isn't their first choice, they just don't have any options right now.
Hill is left open, which is why I find it odd that he shoots so poorly from 3. Someone told me he was taking 1000 shots a day during the summer. What happened with that?

I don't know if I agree. Hill's contract is pretty toxic. He's not a great starter, nor is he an elite sixth man. I think the Pacers need to make a run at a Ginobili-like guard to play next to him, like Kidd could do with Terry. Maybe they'll be interested in De Colo this off-season.
A couple of things: First, I wonder if Devin Harris is an option. Second, if the Pacers can unload Granger onto a team that has cap space (I could see Dallas renting him for a year), do you think they have a chance to land an elite free-agent point-guard? I don't think they do. The best they could hope for is overpaying Jennings, which would be a horrible waste of money.

Indiana is way to obsessed with "2 way" players. He's still an average offensive player that can make shots at times and a decent but overrated defender. Indiana is probably trying to find a better PG, but there arnt many options in the market tbh. So it's either him or Agustin. Indiana is also a below average offenisve team, so if you could end up with a streaking Hill it's probably worth the risk.
The Pacers don't need a shoot first PG. They need a really good point foward.
