What the happened? I thought the Spurs won. I checked the score on my phone in the mine and it said the Spurs were up by like 6 in the 4th quarter. I thought this was wrapped up for the Spurs and they were on their way to the WCF.

And you still in the denial stage, homie.

Like denying the 2012-13 Lakers are the biggest failure in sports history.

    Own up, son.

It's simple math if you ask me. TSBs + T = Lss.

OT recap of Spurs made FGs: Danny Green with the 3pt bomb

OT recap of Spurs missed FGs:
    3 misses at the cup
    5 misses in 3pt land
    1 misses at midrange
at the Warrior _efense locking that Spur ass down
    1-1

Well, you have to actually still be in the playoffs to choke so much... some teams just choked 4 straight...

Learning too much from Kobe, I guess.

Choked a 3-1 series lead to the Suns.

Choked to the heavy underdog Boston Celtics in '08, which included choking away a 24 point lead at home. An NBA record.

Swept by the Dallas Mavericks, who were a heavy underdog in the series.

Choked the entirety of this year. The Lakers were essentially a lock for the Finals, but found themselves fighting for a playoff spot all year, which forced them to play desperate in the 2nd half of the season, causing the team to play way too many minutes, leading to injuries.

Lucky for Kobe, he snuck in a couple of ships when the NBA was at its weakest point in the 00s.

Honestly, brother, there's no more irritating thing than when your team gives away a game. Not capitalizing when their best interior defender is on the bench. Missed FTs. Scoring 2 points in 10 in' minutes. I can live with like game 2, when a team just steps up and takes it from you with a great performance, but Golden State was playing D-league level basketball and the Spurs obliged by playing even worse.

So there's bound to be some overreaction and pissed off fans.

If those were so weak, why didn't the Lakers win them?

To win a championship, a team doesn't need to be the best of all time. They just need to be the best that year. Not sure you realize how that works tbh.

    '99.

Swept the Lakers, who would be the champions next year.

Swept the Blazers, who were a 4th quarter chokejob away from beating those Lakers.

    '03.

Beat the 3 time defending champions.

    '05.

Beat the Pistons, who destroyed Kobe and his Hall of Fame supporting cast a year prior.

    '07.

    Rather weak, no arguments.

    '09 Lakers.

Taken to 7 games by a Rockets team without Yao Ming and Tracy McGrady

Beat the rlando Magic led by the guy who scored 7 points against a 37 year old.

    '10 Lakers.

Beat the broken down version of the SSOL Suns the prime Spurs used to destroy.

Taken to 7 games by a 50 win Boston team filled with senior citizens.

If Kobe rang in '08, that would've been an all-time great run, but he choked.

Actually when you look back, it shows his greatness. In 08 if he played better in that 2nd half of game 4 they might win the series and he could have 6 rings, or if the Lakers played close to their potential in 04 he could have 7 rings. 2011 he was injured and his team was just done anyways but I remember them choking a 16 point lead in seconds during game 1, so even injured and coming off b2b rings and b2b2b finals they still had a chance and that is not that bad. In 06 if Kwame boxed out or played D in that last possesion the Lakers move on and Kobe could have had a GOAT type run that year. But 5 rings is 5 rings and he will always be in the same breath as MJ, Magic, Kareem, and others.

But let's be civil for a moment (then chaos can ensue): The Spurs regained home court. They won on the road. Not that home court seems to matter now, but in the grand scheme of things, the Spurs can likely play no worse. The Warriors did what the Spurs did, but with less of a comeback and only one OT. Still started at about 4 minutes left. Tbh, 8 points is a big lead at all and anyone who thinks it's time to start milking the clock with 4 minutes to go only up 8 is having delusions of adequacy.

So they lost in OT. One team went on a run for that limited time of the OT. Had that been a full quarter, perhaps the Spurs would have responded with their own run. It's about who strikes last and it was them. Now it's back to SA

I do wonder, though, why not all teams play the same 48 hour schedule. What am I missing?
