To be fair mid, Wade averaged damn near 16 FTMs/game in the Finals det year. It was ridiculous how many calls he got. Stern should be ashamed of that Finals run. Not even MJ averaged that many freebies.
Yeah you do.
You've been enjoying your "Spurs Are Tied With Warriors in the 2nd Round" moral victory all day.
To be fair mid, Wade averaged damn near 16 FTMs/game in the Finals det year. It was ridiculous how many calls he got. Stern should be ashamed of that Finals run. Not even MJ averaged that many freebies.
All that matters is the scoreboard.
The officials gave Kobe some ticky-tack bull when he had his 60 point game at the Garden.
Does anyone care?
And you know what, one day someone is going to have to go back and review every call and see if they were legit or not. I found an article that did this for infamous WCF 2002 Game 6, and they discovered the officiating wasn't as bad as perceived.
http://www.82games.com/lakerskingsgame6.htm
Excerpt: "As a whole, these plays suggest to me the refs were calling the game honestly, if perhaps not well."
Why does Kobe have to prove himself though? He was a 3x Champ and showed up for the Playoffs. And when he was able to go on a deep playoff run he was even better in the postseason than the playoffs in 08. As if he needed to prove it come playoff time, right.
But wait wait did you just say Dirk? What was his playoffs like? And Duncan just wasn't that good dude. Just because he was on the best team doesn't make him the best player.
Stern tried to make Wade the next Jordan. How'd that work out? The Heat barely won their ty D-League division and got their asses swept by the Bulls in the 1st round. And you don't see Wade in any T-Mobile commercials.
LkrFan cares. Why? It should be:
Kobe - 5
TD - 4* (or 3.5 - take your pick)
Shaq - 3
Because every other player has to, regardless of what they did previously (or after). Magic was a 2x champ before he choked against the Celtics in '84.
And Duncan was fantastic in '07. This is once again a case of you looking too much at per game stats. Not one team besides the Suns (who the Spurs matched pace with) scored over 100 points. And the primary reason was Duncan. Lebron had one of the worst Finals outings in history primarily because of Duncan. Sure, Bowen was effective, as well, but by '07, Bowen was a year from retirement and would have never been able to stay in front of James without Duncan behind him locking down the paint and preventing the personal dunk contest Lebron had when he played the Pistons. And even if we judge his performance by per game stats, how is 22ppg, 11.5, 3.8apg, 3.1bpg on .521 shooting "not that good?"
Even if Duncan wasn't the best player in the league, he was still top 5.
C'mon now with asterisk bull .
I know your stacked Lakers team with Shaq, Kobe, Eddie Jones, Prime Horry, Prime Rick Fox laid down and died like a bunch of pathetic dogs, allowing themselves to get swept out of the Forum, but you can't penalize the Spurs half-a-ring just because your team was that ty.
at the irony of this post. You have alternate accounts on multiple forums across the net fellating Kobe nonstop. You're the last person that should be talking about bias.
Huh?
I have this account and another account on ISH with the same username. What are my multiple accounts Sherlock?
50 game season son. That's it and that's all.^ this , ya dig?

More from Coach Pop's daddy:
LOLNo Respect For '99 le From Phil Jackson.
Just when you thought you'd heard the last of "the asterisk..."
In Phil Jackson's mind, it's still there and it's never going away.
San Antonio's 1999 NBA championship, won during the lockout-shortened season, was one of the rallying points for the Lakers during the 2000 playoffs.
But at the Lakers' practice, Jackson said he doesn't figure on that '99 trophy being any part of a dynasty if the Spurs make a run in the coming years.
"I know it's added onto their list, but anybody who was around basketball in '99 knows it was entirely an aberration," Jackson said. "Not that they don't deserve it. They won the pack and they came out of that heap, but that's an asterisk. That's kind of a weird situation that sits over there."
I'm still holding out hope that Howard forces the Lakers FO to fire MDA so that we can bring PJ back to tap Pop's ass (again).![]()
'99 rang was an "abberatin" according to Coach XI.

Mid getting his Cully on ..
Supposedly Cully took it out in his wife ...
Apparently Mid takes out his erotic frustration on Achilles ...
I think there is a Freud book on the matter ...
After every Spur loss lately there is Laker/Achilles bash thread somewhere ...or he hijacks one to do so ...
It wasn't Mid that started it though.Stop obsessing brah this thread wasn't even about LA and your fanboys swarm on it
....WTF Mid... you still melting down...did you even sleep since yesterday
man you really do have OCD...
But check this out Mid...
Dirk Nowitzki: "Tim Duncan is great the best PF to play the game, but to me, Kobe's the no. 1 player over the 15 years I've been in this league."

None of Jackson's bull opinions change the fact the Spurs swept the Lakers and shut down the Forum. This is how the Lakers went out in the very last game in the house that Magic built:

Pathetic.
And the fact you posted 3 straight times about it shows me you're still salty.
GWF built in '67. Magic was drafted after that. -10 points for inaccuracy.![]()
I can literally do this all day Mid.....outside of MJ it's rare you'll find another player that picks someone other than Kobe...
Reggie Johnson: "LeBron is good, but he's no Kobe"
http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/u...,3689242.story
"It's personal, not business," he said while talking a little faster than before. "Personally, I think Kobe is better. In Miami and South Florida, LeBron is the man. Don't get me wrong. I respect LeBron. I think LeBron is a heckuva player. Don't get me wrong but Kobe is better."
Doesn't matter Mid does this habitually
Spurs lose and he lashes out or trolls Laker fans
LOL did you really use the "but they started it defense" Lmfao
C'mon, you can do a betterthan that.
NBA Players Prefer Kobe, Durant To Take Shot With Game On Line
Sports Illustrated asked 166 NBA players who they would want shooting with the game on the line.
Kobe Bryant led the way with 74 percent, followed by Kevin Durant (8 percent), Dwyane Wade (3 percent) and then Ray Allen and Dirk Nowitzki with 2 percent each.
True.
You need to know your place as our doormat this season.
That's just greatness:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2KKJmSYaC8E
