If you like total war games I don't see how you wouldn't enjoy this one as well. Also, if you're not into gunplay, then you can just play the vanilla version (as opposed to fall of the samurai). I believe the metacritic rating is 90% and its definitely a back to the roots type effort from CA
I have an artillery obsession so I mostly play the expansion. Nothing quite like watching an advancing army get obliterated by an offshore bombardment
