Joey's got Game 2 in New York tonight.

Joey will be the crew chief for Game 6.
Guaransheed.
That would seem to be what the schedule says.
The rotation is settled enough that the assignments of Callahan's crew to MIA/CHI and Danny Crawford's crew to OKC/MEM tonight were predictable yesterday.
With Mauer and McCutchen having worked on Tuesday night, and Callahan and Danny Crawford working Wednesday night, it leaves Joey Crawford and Scott Foster to work on Thursday night.
Foster worked SA/GST Game 4 and hasn't yet worked a game in NY/IND, so Foster seems likely to be going there leaving Joey (who has worked one game in every series other than SA/GST) to be the crew chief for Game 6 of SA/GST.
I'd be absolutely shocked if it wasn't Joey.
If there's a Game 7, I'd expect that one to be assigned to either Danny Crawford or Monty McCutchen.
Ok, FWD.
I had noticed that Joey was the only one of the six 2nd round crew chiefs that had yet to work a SAS/GSW game. Just left out that detail to provide fuel for the conspiracy theorists.
With all the pressure cooker bombs going off around the country, why couldn't one go off in the vacinity of Joey Crawford?![]()
I like that we get Joey. Isn't he a Muslim that will eat Jackson alive?
idk, he looks like a deranged Buddha, or maybe more like one of those evil lizard aliens that some wackos worship.
Obviously, this will fuel any number of tinfoil hat people. The schedule is sound enough, but even so, SIGH. I hate him. It's not enough for me to craft a new floppy summer creation out of tinfoil, but it's unfortunate.
Not concerned at all...I rather have him in GS than in a possible game 7 at home.
This. Pop needs to play Diaw and Splitter more so that TD isn't gassed at the end of the game. Spurs need to take care of business in GS so there's no game 7.
Not sure but Joey also seems to be the kind if Ref that wants to say: "F*** the crowd, I'm not changing anything just because you boo me!" , isn't he?
Joey Crawford should not referee any basketball games, much less playoffs.
I just hope that the NBA keeps him out of any Spurs meaningful games...
If it must be Joey Crawford, a road game...and not a deciding game either, is the better option.
It's amazing that he's learned nothing after being suspended. He still makes everything about himself. He was theatrically teeing up Lebron the other day and it never occurred to him that Nazr might retaliate from the hit. He was standing right there and then had the chutzpah to throw Nazr out. He should be working MLB games.
Looks like we get Joey tonight.

Warriors-Spurs Game 6 officials: Joe Crawford, Sean Corbin, Derrick Stafford... GSWs' first Joey game of the playoffs.![]()
Kawakami's tweet underplays the "first Joey game" for the Warriors thing.
The last time Joey called a Warriors playoff game? April 29, 1994 at Phoenix.
The last time Joey called a playoff game in Oakland? April 23, 1992 against Seattle.
Joey has called a previous playoff game between the Spurs and Warriors, though -- Game 2 of the 1991 First Round series, a Warriors' win in San Antonio.
Might as well get it over with now. Just in case, a Game 7 at home a far worse option.
Oh great. **** Joey Crawford. This is going 7 games now. Damnit.
Saw this coming a MILE away
Great just ing great.
I wonder what our record is in Joey Crawford-reffed games post-TD ejection incident?
