Now Spurs gotta close out GS. Should Spurs make it through, I expect it to be a damn good series but this Grizzlies team looks to be a tough cookie. Congrats Grizz, even though you guys choked the lead, Durant choked worse.

Conley in the interview after the game: "We became more patient" AKA "We don't have that Gay guy that likes to chuck midrange jumpers anymore"
"And I get to shoot and drive more"

    Percentage wise, 6/24 > 5/21.
    Yup.

I know most fans don't want it, but I really think Spurs/MEM would be a beast series.
This. Feel like the Spurs match up better against them than OKC even without Westbrick ( Fisher and Kevin Martin), but it's going 6 easy. At least whoever wins would be a fun opponent for Miami.

They didn't have Gay in that 2011 playoff run tbh.

The rest of your post sort of contradicts that qualifier.
I'm just saying that people underestimate how dominating our backcourt is. They are literally a lock down machine, and they should be even better if Tony's calf gets back to 90-95%. ZBo is probably the only player who's going to be able to give us consistent problems on that team.

Again, not easy, I'm just looking at the matchups we have that are going to be pretty good for our team. The Grizzlies struggle on offense and so far they've played two teams who are not even in the same league of defensive systems as we have, especially since Refsbrook didn't get any burn in the series.

Were they comparing this team to that 2011 team or to the team in general before this playoffs?

KD tried to lead them niccas trying to inspire Perk and Ibaka but his frontcourt was outmanned most of that series ...

Prince's dunk ... should make top 10 of NBA this year and though not as pretty was a better dunk on niccas then Deandre's ...he dunked on two bigs plus Durant IIRC

Why do all black coaches thank god and give him credit when they win? ing pathetic and annoying, I never heard PJ, Pop, Sloan, Spo, etc etc thanking a higher being. Are blacks who lived with Jim Crow laws too demoralized to think they deserve to win because they played better?

Whoever the Grizzlies play in the next round I hope they play better in that series than they played in the Thunder series.

The Grizzlies shooting percentage got worse as the series went on.

Defenses adjust, even a poorly-coached mediocre Thunderef team. The fact ya'll should've swept them is pretty telling imo.

memphis is overrated as much as z-bo is overweight. beating the crippled OKC doesn't mean much, durant was tired out because his teammates couldn't offer him no legit support, and to make things worse, brooks is such a terrible coach that doesn't have any single idea how to make his s function as a team.

OKC doesn't win that series even with a healthy Westbrook. WB gets them one more game, but make no mistake, Grizz were winning it.

What games have you been watching? did you saw the thunders execution on offence compared with the execution with Westbrick?
Grizzlies are so overrated now that they won 4-1 against a crippled OKC.

OKC would prob steamroll through west like last year if not for that injury. But that's a good thing for you since you gonna win the WCF in max 6 now.

Get Westbrook on this series and is probably still 4-1 but for the Thunder, tbh. All those close games would have fallen on OKC's side.

^ Girzz are a bad matchup for OKC, just like OKC is for the Spurs. Dont let the close games fool you -- thats exactly Memphis's MO: keep it close and create enough separation at the end. It's annoying because one always feels their team is in it, but that's what they do. OKC still would have had a very hard time surviving their post play, offensive rebounding prowess, and stifling D. People forget that a hobbled Memphis team took OKC to 7 a few years back, with no Gay and a hobbled Z-Bo (incidentally the same year they beat the Spurs in the 1-8 match up). That was with WBrick, Durant, AND Harden.

I'm not doing the whole, "Spurs > OKC" thing either. Assuming the Spurs get out of the Warrior series, Memphis will be a tough out for them.

I agree with saying Memphis is very good, but not some ultra elite team (at least not against OKC). Spurs have a better offense than a WB-less OKC team and every game OKC was right there. Spurs defense is probably as good if not better than OKC when Tiago is playing and healthy too. The good news is, even if Thabo shuts down TP, Memphis has shown you can still be in the game with your number one option not playing great (Like KD with OKC).
