Joey Crawford thinks he is a celeb tbh.
I wouldn't bet the house, but I'd bet Golden State would win tonight even if he weren't reffing. After the 2-2 start to the series, it felt like it was going to go the distance.
I wouldn't be shocked if the Spurs won tonight, but I don't expect it, regardless of officiating.
Series should be over already, except we shot abysmally in Game 4.
As long as we keep the clamps on Curry and Thompson, which is a very distinct possibility, the Spurs could pull away early in this one. Golden State looks like they've lost most of the confidence they had in Games 1&2.
Could also be 3-2 Warriors since they had a 16 point lead with 4 minutes left of game 1. Heck, if the Warriors take both those 2 first games in San Antonio, they may have finished it in 4. We can play the "could have, should have" game, but conjecture like that doesn't really matter. The series is what it is at this point. And, with Curry and Thompson not scoring at a great clip the last few games, I have a feeling the home crowd may give them some motivation to play better. I think it's going to a game 7.
Fair enough, however they haven't been factors since the Green/Leonard tandem got on them. Even Parker has been healed up lately and getting minutes on Curry and guarding him well.
Golden State shot incredibly well and still managed to lose, then we shot incredibly poorly and they still needed OT to beat us. Fairly confident we win by 12-15 points tonight.
the built-in excuse prior to the game /thread
If it weren't for his disdain for TD, I'd say this is a good thing for the road team. Exhibit 3,267,451:

unfortunately I have to agree this series smells like a 7 game one.
Although I had predicted Spurs in 6 before this series started. I had not expected the kind of fluke games and choking that happened from both sides. Both teams are as close as it gets IMO. and Elian Gonzales has 1 more run in him. Not to mention spurs look pretty banged up. Duncan limping, Parker in an iron lung and Manu crawling like a bug.
still IMO tonights game is 50% chance for either side. and although this series smells like a 7 game series. I'm going to have to stick with my wonderful prediction of Spurs in 6.
Joey got his ass spanked when he tossed Duncan for giggling. That bald troll doesn't have the nutsack to make a game changing call against the Spurs. Tim and Tony would go Halloween pic on that freak's ass.
Spurs close out tonight. Book it.

I didnt know basketball games lasted 44 minutes
Spurs is 0-3 in the last 3 games vs Joey(Miami/OKC/Lakers).
I'd be more worried about Curry's ankles healing than Joey Crawford
I'ma have to agree. Warriors are too young a team, they are not sweeping anyone this year. Well except the Lakers.
Spurs are winning tonight, this doesn't seem like a 7 game series at all. Spurs are a flat out better ball club, and they've figured out how to take out GSW' top 2 scorers, forcing their role players to win the game, and that's not how GSW got here to the 2nd round.
It depends on how our bench shoots the ball. Which GSW is going to go off tonight? Curry's been sucking hind teat lately, he's due, but Harrison Barnes needs to put out one more time to guarantee himself some attention in the off season. It could be one of those things were desperation sits in and the chucking overwhelms "the game plan".
If Tim settles for those 20' clanks off the front of the rim over and over, it could be a short night for the starters, but if Tony gets going and finds his stroke early, he can put some points on the board and make GS chuck their way out of it. Still, I see Green fortifying Thompson and Thompson fortifying Curry, and Curry fortifying himself over and over ad nauseum.
Wow, that is discouraging. I think the Spurs have a very good chance of closing this thing out barring any shenanigans from Mr. Crawford. The defense has figured out Curry and Thompson, and Jack and Barnes are not good enough to beat the Spurs. If the Spurs shooting is not abysmal again, they should take it.
I got the Spurs at (-1.5)...the line jumped to 2.5 5 minutes later![]()
