Kobe Bryant @kobebryant17 May
The comparisons are #apples2oranges Wonder what the perception would be if M played wit @shaq instead #differentroles #differentcareerpaths
He's so en sensitive it's unbelievable.
lol @ a couple of Kobe's fans reassuring him:
"you're still my favorite"
"I still think you're still the goat"

I bet they're Asian tbh
MJ is GOAT period point blank. No question. However...
He would not be the MJ as we know him if he had to play with Shaq. Shaq would have still been the first option and MJ would have been relegated to Robin status. In order to make his claim as a top-10 player all time, Shaq had to go. So when Shaq's lease was up, Kobe decided not to renew it.
MJ's Era was weaker in compe ion in terms of players that were comparable to him size wise. Nique, Reggie, Dumars, Majerle. That's it. Now compare Kobe's Era of comp. Bron, Wade, Vincanity, Ray Allen, AI, Allen Houston (before his decline), Sprewell - just off the top of my head. Simply put, I know if they were switched, Kobe would dominate the same players that MJ did. No doubt in my mind. And of course, vice versa.
The biggest difference for me between the two is discipline/shot selection. MJ took bad shots, but not nearly at the same clip as Kobe. Now in Kobe's defense, he was put in that situation more often than not. 3 seconds left on the clock: pass it to Kobe! End of game, Shaq's in foul trouble: pass it to Kobe! But also from Kobe's perspective: my teammates are Smush, Cook, Kwame, Inconsistent Odumb - I'm shooting!
Kobe will never get his due, especially around these parts. His legacy, for better or for worst, is sealed. I'm comfortable as a Laker Fan in knowing that despite his shortcomings or perceived failures by some, I'm proud of the fact that he left it all on the court. MJ recognized that. That's why he said he would choose Kobe over Bron. You may hate Kobe for whatever reason, but you must respect him.
If like Kobe, MJ spent his first 8 seasons with a dominant big man, he'd have 10+ rings tbh
and not the fun asian where they make cheap clothes for us or let us use their women as sex toys. they're probably the ty asian from one of the 'stans
I don't necessarily agree, tbh.
innocent tbh, she had had humanities semen reserve in her panties.
Doesn't prove .
The question is whether MJ would have hounded Shaq out of Chicago if they had played together.
Kobe would rather lose on his own than win with Shaq. If Jordan really is the winner everybody says he was, would he really make the same choice or would he be happy challenging Russells rings record with Shaq?
well according to Phil, MJ also had much better defense, leadership skills along with better shot selection.
but you probably know MJ and Kobe better than Phil.
i don't know what's worse, the you wrote above or the fact I read it.
He actually said that?I love how on instagram for Throw Back Thursday he posted a pic of him and Phil Jackson. He's prolly gonna go back to the Kobe that hates Phil.
Tbh, while I laugh at Kobe for comparing himself to MJ, you must admit it would be annoying if Popovich released a book trying to 'expose' Tim Duncan or something. Phil should get on his knees and pleasure MJ, Kobe, and Shaq for hookin a up.
Ultimately,
the difference between 24 and 23 is as Phil said and LG is in SEVERE denial about this right now. MJ would rarely force the issue, if the shots didn't fall in he'd find other openings and play harder defense or rebound more. For Kobe, if the shots don't fall in, well it I'm gonna keep shooting and take my team out of rhythm.
It cracks me up that Laker fans are arguing over this now as if they know something more than the guy who groomed Kobe into a champion.
MJ had 64 points and 1 assist in a game the Bulls lost and you're saying he didn't chuck it?
Don't insult Pippen by comparing Kirby to him, tbh....
Go drink some faygo got
The answer, of course, is NO. Anybody that could put up with a green-haired Rodman would have been just fine with Shaq.
Read again numbnutz. I said "For me..." And WGAF that PJ went into more detail than I did about their differences? You act as if I disagreed with Phil. I mentioned Kobe's shot selection and clarified those thoughts.
My other notion that Kobe's individual comp > MJ's is also true. Am I wrong? If their roles were switched, MJ would have been 2nd fiddle to Shaq (and rightfully so I might add), he would have had to close quarters/games, he would have to feed Shaq constantly, while simultaneously being expected to give his squad 20-30ppg - just like Kobe had to.
And I stand by my opinion that Kobe would have dominated the same players that MJ did.
I'd like to see youanything I wrote. I'll wait.

Me neither tbh. I think it is KAJ. But the media wants us to believe that so I went against my better judgment and ran with it.
GOAT argument aside, MJ > Kobe. I believe Kobe is entrenched in the top 10 though.
Disagree with bolded. In his now infamous 6/24 game, he had 15 rebounds (equalling KG, PP and RA combined), and he played great team defense in helping hold them bums to 79 points (players he guarded - PP/RA were a combined 8/29 which is on par with his 6/24 outing). But all we GAF about is Kobe. Even though his HOF counterparts shot just as bad. SMH
