Looks like JVG does the rest of the series (and I know most here prefer JVG) but I still like Hubie best. Maybe they could get rid of that sideline broad and use Hubie and JVG.
IDK. After the Warriors series with Hubie just slobbering over GS, I could do with a break from his comments. He is knowledgable, but the last JVG broadcast was a pleasant surprise. Hubie did alright for game 1 of the WCF, but I am still a bit tired of his voice. I am glad they are switching it up.

Hubie is the second worst announcer I've heard in my 56 yrs. Walton was the worst.
There was a time a few years back, when Hubie was actually good at his job. Now it's just horrible, he's beginning to sound like an old rambling man, who usually can't get his words out correctly. Give me JVG over Brown any day of the week.

Agree. Even in the first quarter he was referencing Mephis losing game 1's in their first two series. It was almost like having to be an opposing fan and having to listen to ****** and Land. Oh well, we won

Didn't really notice much of the commentary, since my roommates were all too noisy, or maybe I was just too focused on the game. Don't really care much about Hubie or the commentators, but I gotta say that Walton's provided me with a quote that's been implanted in my mind - "Blow it out big men, blow it out! (03 finals, game 6)"
Hubie and Stockton from the CBS days were gold.
Best line ever in basketball was when someone threw a perfect pass to Samaki Walker who booted it out of bounds and Walton yelled, "Where would ya LIKE it, Samaki?"
Walton's commentary, when serious is great. When he's doing a bit its even better. which is why I always loved him. Especially with the Clippers. "Michael Olowakandi channeling Karreem and Russell tonight, we are seeing the birth, of a great one" That line vs the Spurs made my mom say "Oh my god" but I was dying laughing because its a bit.
That said, Van Gundy and Breen are very very solid. Breen IMO is the best in the business, Van Gundy gives great down the middle analysis, now will I disagree? Yes, however, he backs it up. Hubie breaks down video on the telestrater like no one else. Watching a game with Hubie, you will learn about the intricacies of the game, back picks, everything. A hubie brown dvd on basketball 101 would be a great watch.
I like both Hubie and JVG.
