you mean the run and jack up a 3 or run and pass the ball to melo so he can jack up a contested shot system? that doesn't really fit kawhi's strengths IMO
It's really closer than most people think. Both are elite perimeter defenders. Shump is more athletic than Kawhi. Both can knock down 3s, except Kawhi isn't likely to go on fire like Shump did tonight.
Kawhi is fortunate to be incorporated and developed by an upper echelon basketball organization. The Knicks don't have any structure for Shump to fall under.

Shump has a higher vert, he's also stronger, and arguably faster. He's an A+ athletic.

in their 2 seasons Kawhi is a 49% shooter from the field and Shump shoots 39%. i don't care how "hot" he can get. JR smith can get as hot as anybody, but he's an inefficient shot-jacker end of the day
