I pose that question to you info warriors out there.

Was this Tornado a man made creation of Obama to divert attention away from Benghazi and word changing?

I have to agree with The Reckoning on this. Location means everything. If this tornado on steroids had happened in Pennsylvania, NY, New Jersey, Ohio, Illinois, or DC then people would give a big . However, this is Oklahoma so people will won't give that much of a . Not that many people gave a during the OKC bombing. If 9/11 had happened in like Montana or Wyoming, do you think people would have given a about it?

More people cared about 9/11 than the OKC bombing because 9/11 mostly happened in NYC. Location matters.

it appeared increasingly likely that residents who lost homes and businesses would turn to the federal government for emergency disaster aid. That could put the state's two Republican senators in an awkward position.
Sens. Jim Inhofe and Tom Coburn, both Republicans, are fiscal hawks who have repeatedly voted against funding disaster aid for other parts of the country. They also have opposed increased funding for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), which administers federal disaster relief.

Late last year, Inhofe and Coburn both backed a plan to slash disaster relief to victims of Hurricane Sandy. In a December press release, Coburn complained that the Sandy Relief bill contained "wasteful spending," and identified a series of items he objected to, including "$12.9 billion for future disaster mitigation activities and studies."

Coburn spokesman John Hart on Monday evening confirmed that the senator will seek to ensure that any additional funding for tornado disaster relief in Oklahoma be offset by cuts to federal spending elsewhere in the budget. "That's always been his position [to offset disaster aid]," Hart said. "He supported offsets to the bill funding the OKC bombing recovery effort." Those offsets were achieved in 1995 by tapping federal funds that had not yet been appropriated.

In 2011, both senators opposed legislation that would have granted necessary funding for FEMA when the agency was set to run out of money. Sending the funds to FEMA would have been "unconscionable," Coburn said at the time.

the oilcos pay for these two assholes, why don't the oilcos pay for disaster relief?

    Seriously?

Going strictly by the number of deaths, the 9/11 attacks were about 1785% worse than the OKC bombing.

You need to explain why you think OKC is the same as 9/11 except only for the location.

Yeah. Both were horrible, but the scope is off my several orders of magnitude. Not really comparable other than superficially.

[QUOTE=TeyshaBlue;6582495]lol blue team. Never pass an opportunity to politicize a disaster.[/QUOTE

Just pointing out how the (OK) Repugs politicized non-OK disasters with the blind ideology of cutting/hating govt. Even now, Coburn's blind ideology says any disaster money for OK must be offset by cuts elsewhere (but not in tax expenditures for his owners the oilcos)

BTW Boo, that Sandy bill was a bull bill that was stuffed with unrelated pork. It ended up passing after they stripped most of the crap out of it.

    that wasn't Coburn's point.

He wants ALL FEMA spending offset by cuts elsewhere.
