That's true. Saying that they are in your thoughts and prayers or your hearts go out to them does nothing for them. Sure, it might make them feel good for a little bit but it will wear off. If you really wanted to help them, you would be there cleaning up the mess or donating money and/or your time instead of making comments on the tragedy on the internets.

OK senators voted against the Sandy Aid Bill. They need to get behind New York/New Jersey in receiving aid.

Isn't kinda dumb for a town that has been hit by five bad tornadoes in the past 15 years to not have any sort of storm shelter at the school? You'd think they would have gotten it done after the town got it's first finger of God treatment in '99.

But ...I'm speaking to the wind. This is same state that is full of trailer parks.

sad part of this photo is that the little who was in her dad's arms were wearing them shoes when she didn't need them, while the other girl (who's younger) was walking through rugged ground on bare feet. those people have no mercy

i might be wrong but it appears to me that NB is the most popular brand among them es. NB products are the but they can still make some improvements imho, which include reducing the amount of products designed for them es
tbh it's kinda weird when that lady is holding on to her purse instead of carrying the girl. judging from her shirt and clothes, it seems like she had a bit of money and probably had a nanny or something do the raising of the kid. I wouldn't be surprised if she had a mobile meth kit in her purse for her to be caring more about it than the girl.

happens everyday, I seriously doubt this would even make the national news if it happened in a predominantly hispanic/latino or African-American neighborhood. Either way in a few days no one will care and the whole country can go back to being their usual selfish non caring selves.
Good point. Stuff like this only makes the news when it happens to white people. No one would give a damn or even know about this if the people affected were minorities or if it happened in some poor, obscure country. It wouldn't make national news because no one would care.

people will get bored of it fast since there was no culprit behind it or a bad guy to chase down. the only exception to that rule was Katrina because it became a social experiment for a few days: what would a mostly black population do when there is no law or order? help each other out or gather arms, loot, and kill each other?

News flash: anybody sitting around "praying" for these people is more worthless and stupid than OP. If you're really that superior to all of us that you can't joke about it, put your money where your mouth is and donate or shut the up.

Also, maybe if you live in an area that routinely gets destroyed by F5 tornadoes you should in move.

Yeah, unless you're a farmer I don't really get it. Having to live under threat of rebuilding for 2-3 months EVERY year seems pretty stupid.

praying to the god who chose to send a tornado to OKC in the first place
if praying did anything maybe you should have done some preventative praying so god wouldn't have sent a tornado to OKC

I get the making fun of people who prayed to god to act as their shield against the tornado which was sent by that exact same god to kill them, but the rest of this is really bad. Why do you feel the need to dance on the graves of people who did nothing to you?

A day before Apple's CEO has to go to Congress and defend the company's shady tax practices? That can't be coincidence, IMO
