Scott and Drew would be awful. Don't really know Malone, but Bud or Shaw would be great gambles to take, and JVG would be awesome too. Gentry would be a huge upgrade over Captain Hair Fake too.

LOL, not a chance after how ugly the breakup was in 1999. I will forever love Pop for erasing what was Red McCombs' biggest -up with the team (Del Negro replacing Strickland).
Which Malone is this?
A Golden State assistant. If his coaching style is to go full jeebo like Jackson, maybe best to stay away from him too.
Bud seems like the best realistic option tbh.
Hopefully, Sterling dies so Phil could take a FO role and just on Laker fans even more.
Hope they don't get Bud, since Pop has been grooming him to take over the head spot in San Antonio. Still, I wouldn't hold it against him to take his shot now if Sterling offers him a really good deal. That would be a really solid roster for him to work with and maybe he can beat some maturity into Blake.
the funny thing is changing coaches, with only like 5-10 available coaches, all proven losers..
not saying they shouldn't have fired him, just that the overall level of nba coaches is really low under the five-six stars (doc, pops, tibs etc)
This is because the NBA has a tenency to recycle ty, ex-player coaches that are proven failures..
If the NBA starts migrating towards international/college coaches, ex-scouts, etc for coaching hires, there would be a notable improvement in team quality, tbh..
makes sense tbh
bunch of monkeyballers wanting to be led by a monkey
Vinny probably thought that sweeping the Lakers and setting the franchise record for victories would be enough to keep his job.
Ruben Magnano needs to come to the NBA. One of the best coaches alive IMO
Imo Stan Van Gundy perfect guy to coach the Clips
I don't think SVG is interested in signing on with another team that lets a player make coaching decisions.
pau wants them to hire a black coack lol

After Vinny writes his tell all book this summer the Clips are going to have to pay him 10 million to return…
It won't happen, but if Sterling was to offer Phil a chunk of ownership i say Phildo listens.
Ditto Nets.
Sterling should offer Phil a good chuck. He could well sway quite a number of bandwagon Laker s and own L.A.
monkeyballers ain't going anywhere with that cast. that's good for the rest of the West thou
Rumor is that Sterling is in SA now to scout out Hollins during the Spurs-Grizz games.
But, the article says he's probably going to be too expensive for the Clippers.

If you ignore plays, systems, adjustments, timeout usage, player development, team preparation, and motivational skills, then sure, Vinny's a "decent coach"![]()
