Good take by Simmons for once in this series. I think our crowd is extremely underrated. The media likes to focus on the "awesome" crowds of Golden State and Memphis instead...
pretty dissapointed in the spurs fans tbh, they handed out free towels at the game and most didn't even wave them...typical fat lazy spurfan tbh busy stuffing their faces with nachos and beer....
also does anyone else notice that are crowd sounds more girlish than other crowds?
"More hockey crowd than NBA crowd"? WTF does that even mean? We're loud in a different way than, say, Golden State? We throw on the ice? Even when he's forced to acknowledge something about San Antonio, it has to be some backhanded bull . I wish he could see the "old school" fans he's talking about. The old Bums would have thrown beers on him, and had him begging for a security detail on the way out.

Cool your jets brah. It's not backhanded. It means the crowd isn't loud while the game is in progress and the ball is motion but very loud when they're celebrating something.

Highlight: Hearing crowd chanting MVP when Duncan was on the line after that defensive sequence. I chanted it to the TV when he started walking down the court after getting that shove from Allen.
Lowlight: Hearing crowd chanting Ref You Suck for the first time ever. Wasn't very raucous, but still a bit disappointing. Sort of can't blame them with the way the game turned out. That was a legendarily bad crew.

They've chanted "refs you suck" before.
I've thought this for years and I thought it was just me. Not sure when this happened but it's definitely just been in the ATT Center.

Just like everything else, our home crowd is underrated. How fitting.
The refs you suck chant is gay, but I loved the spontaneous-ish 'buuuulshiiiit' chant.
The sound on last night's broadcast does no justice to the sound of being there.
I was digging the MVP chant for Duncan last night.
I almost died laughing the first time I heard the bums do that cheer.
I miss the old Bums-
I remember it as far back as Game 2 of the Dallas series in 2006. Either "ref you suck" or something very similar.
In any event, I thought the crowd got taken out of the game (or allowed itself to be taken out of the game) for parts of the second half when Memphis made its run (or was it a walk, given the 20-4 FTA disparity (and the 16-7 disparity in total fouls called) in the second half?) and was actually kind of disappointing for a bit there. The building was definitely roaring for most of the first 3 quarters and got good and loud in OT.
I was at the game. EVERYONE WAS WAVING THEIR TOWELS! Where the were your seats? Outside? It was a passionate crowd last night!

I haven't heard the crowd that rowdy in a long time! The noise level was coming through the tv.
Everyone wants payback on the Grizz, plus i think everyone realizes this is more than likely the last run with these guys at the core.
