still got 4 rings under his reign and won Tim Duncan vs a much more storied franchise
Simmons is a got... if people don't pick his Celtics to win, he melts down and writes a whiny, homeriffic column about it....
Don't get the Simmons hate from Spursfans, honestly. He was one of the few "journalists" back in the day to really gush over Duncan. When the KG vs. Duncan debate was raging in the mid-00s, he was the only talking head I can remember who trumpeted Duncan's superiority, using none of the "supporting cast" excuses that KG fans often resorted to.
So what he didn't pick the Spurs.? They didn't look as strong as Memphis going into this series. He had good reason.

He actually defends the Spurs more than any mainstream writer, yet Spurs fans on him every time he picks the Spurs..

Agree with Simmons. He's a huge Timmy fan and is a fan of the Spurs; tbh I'm glad he's picking the Grizzlies cuz he's been so far off this whole playoff series. regarding the fat s in this town, they throw around the term hater so much. if anyone has an opinion that doesn't fit their greasy, high blood pressure opinion, they're a hater.

Not really, anyone that could see beyond OKC's lack of offensive system could see that Memphis lack of shooting was going to be a problem against a team as balanced as the Spurs.

Tbh id be worried if simmons picks the spurs. The most moronic know nothing commentator in sports
Regarding Simmons, I like him but he has made some re ed predictions against the Spurs in these playoffs. I don't matter him picking against us but give me a good reason. His analisis on the last two Spurs' series have been way off and instead of acknowledging this and give the Spurs some props he has been dissmising them and blaming his re ed predictions on injuries, bad ref calls, etc. Not to mention that he has been blatantly cheering for the Warriors and now Memphis, everyone has favorites in any given series but if you're working for the network broadcasting those games you should show a little more impartiallity, imvho.
