So America has a Messi?
I said I respected your opinion because American Football has a massive following and that makes the sport highly entertaining to many people, and I respect that, lets just say that both sports are respectable. Lets leave it at that.
So America has a Messi?
lol soccer. scoreless ties, fake injuries, and everyone just acting like a bunch of 3rd world maggots. how many clips are out there of a random old coach bumping into a pussy soccer player, then said player rolling on the ground as if he just got hit by a sniper. pussy sport imo
Man, you know I'm just ing with you, right?
You'd be surprised how many people say other wise, if you travel to those 3rd or 2nd world countries that's pretty much what you see kids play, they don't play American football, American football has no cult following outside of America like Futbol does, that's just a reality people in here aren't willing to accept.
I knew this as soon as I started arguing with you, I don't know if I'm assuming this but I think you aren't able to accept that Futbol is superior to every sport, I think it hurts you.
I would totally accept it if it were true, but it's not.
That's almost a flagrant 2
Just so we're clear here, this wasn't called a flagrant:
But this was:
It is, stats tell the whole story. I wouldn't really compare Futbol to any other sport in terms of the sport itself, they're all great in their own ways, what I would compare is the popularity, sadly your Football stands no chance against my Futbol.
@ number of fans=superiority
You watch soccer because there isn't anything else on telemundo. Your assertion that Americans don't like soccer because they are incapable of playing the game is preposterous.
You say I'm the one that makes assumptions, you just made one yourself. I watch the quality Futbol, I'm a daily follower of European teams, let me tell you, the day I see an American play like Messi or any other top player is the day I'll finally say, ohm your right, Americans aren't bad at soccer, the MLS is pretty good, but not quite good enough, I'm comparing your stars with the other nation stars, in which you are so far off, even the one who represents us, Javier Hernandez, is way better then any other star you have. Embarrassing

Didn't know He cared so much about flopping and losing NBA games.
What? First, comparing the best athlete in soccer to any American soccer player is pointless. Where is the Mexican Jordan?Athletes from soccer countries aren't very good at American sports by comparison either.
You aren't very good at this.
I think its pretty self-explanatory what I'm doing, I don't mean athletes who can jump higher, or the ones that are physically gifted, I'm comparing players by skill, fundamentals, America has such a long way to catch up to quality players.
So, you are arguing that the ability to play soccer has it's own set of skills and fundamental acuity that Americans do not possess and not that the best American athletes chose to play other sports that are more popular and lucrative in their own country?
You're kidding, right?
laugh out loud
this is true. USA does not have the soccer pedigree to produce real talent. Soccer meccas like Brazil, Germany and Spain are examples of cultures that produce talent every single year.
It's all about the culture. USA is in the primitive stages of soccer culture. At the same levels of countries like Costa Rica, Venezuela or Japan.
I give you 1 example. Take 5 kids from USA that live and breathe soccer vs. 5 kids in Brazil that play soccer occassionally. I can telly ou the Brazil kids will run circles over the US ones.
That's not my argument. I realize it's part of the culture. I said almost the same thing on the other thread. However, it's not because Americans are incapable of playing soccer, it's because we are more interested in other sports.
disagree on that. Plenty of americans currently practice soccer all the way to the college age. Which is sufficient. The problem is the level of compe ion and the level of training. It's very low and basic for men's soccer.
on the other hand look at female US soccer. The level of compe ion is fairly higher, and that combined with lower level of international female soccer, makes US a dominant force.
Disagree on what? I don't see how what you're saying contradicts what I said. If there was more interest in soccer in America, the level of compe ion and training would naturally increase. Girls/women's soccer is successfull because it's suported and girls who want to compete athletically at a high level have fewer options. I'm not saying it's right, but it's true. Boys/men just have more options when it comes to sports in America. Soccer is not going to supplant football, baseball, basketball or, even hockey.
you need to play nasty to beat memphis and it doesn't matter if the refs call it a flagrant foul or not. need to make them feel the pain so they will think twice before throwing their at asses at the rim tbh
