From a skill standpoint if this guy is still around at the Spurs pick they should take him. He has had off-court issues, but he is already well-developed in his game. He's extremely athletic, a solid shooter, and can defend. However, it looks like his draft stock is rising so he may not be around when the Spurs are on the board. He absolutely dominated the NBDL Finals. The Spurs will have a lot of decisions to make this off-season at the 2 and 3 position and there is no question they need to get more athletic.
Good write up on him from a week or so ago.

Glen Rice Jr. 33" standing vert. 40.5" max vert. #NBACombine
How many teams was he kicked off? I OK for drafting him but you better do you homework to make sure your not getting Marcus Cousins Jr.
sports illustrated as him going to the spurs...he sounds legit.

It's tough to get a read on what direction the Spurs will go here. They could opt for a raw international talent such as Greece's Giannis Antetokounmpo or France's Mouhammadou Jaiteh, someone they could stash overseas for a year or two like Manu Ginobili, Tiago Splitter or Luis Scola. Or they could opt for someone who can play right away. After a checkered career at Georgia Tech that ended in a dismissal from the team last year, Rice thrived in one season in the D-League, averaging 25 points and 9.5 rebounds for Rio Grande in the playoffs. More important, he stayed out of trouble, a fact that has not gone unnoticed by NBA executives.

I like Glen Rice from both a talent and need standpoint. The Spurs currently have a gapping hole at the SF position. I also like the fact that he has proven himself in the D-League. He didn't shoot well at the combine, but the Spurs have the best shooting coach in the league with Chip. At #28 Rice would be a great pick.
Bleacher Report also has the Spurs drafting him
I would have no problem with Rice in a spurs uni. If crabbe and snell (my 1st and 2nd choice) are off the board by #28 then Rice should be near the top of there wishlist I would think.
I'm very skeptical about his journey. He wasn't a valued college player. When you look closely at the D-league, there are some players around his age playing as well as him and you can get these layers without spending a draft pick, let alone a first round pick.
+1 and i dont like his d
His Defensive effort/iq as well as his noticeable slow first step were turnoffs to me. I think I would still rather have goodwin or snell.
