gosh I hate the media...worse to think it's San Antonio based media publicizing this ishh during the playoffs

Yeah it is surprising. Either that or they figure nip it in the bud now and get it over with.
Hope the best for both of them, I really don't think it should be a big issue. If Timmy wanted to skip the playoff run it would be a bummer but he has to make sure he is in the right place for his kids and himself so I would understand.
Everyone always says "My kids come first" but if Timmy sat out 1 game everyone would be on his ass about it![]()

full ksat report on divorce
It is such bull that in his own town they dug this up during the WCF. I mean seriously WTF is that ? This story could have waited a few weeks.
+ 1 and somehow I see this coming up as a topic during one of the ESPN broadcasts.
Read the article again after so many years and with so many more stories happening after that, more les, the Olympics frustration, I think Duncan's life deserves a movie-biography someday. Starting from St.Croix when he was still a kid with a bright future in swimming, the influence of his mother, how he handled the loss of his father in the middle of the playoffs yrs. ago, his awards, now 3 decades later still on top of his game, still respected. Vying for his 5th ring.
That would be classless and distasteful, who in their right mind.. oh wait, nm.
Duncan too busy trying to win a championship right now..
TMZ has obtained legal docs filed in Bexar County, Texas, in which Duncan makes the case that his employment "is currently making extraordinary demands on him and hopefully will continue to make those demands for the next 30 or so days." Translation -- he's banking on a ring.

The media always disgusts me, national and local. Local bas s should be ashamed of themselves. Go report on homelessness, corruption, important things instead of digging up dirt on the franchise player. I'm all for free press, etc, but he didn't HAVE to report this. Let TMZ do it's own spineless reporting.

Divorce is not a sudden thing. I'm pretty sure that this happened long ago(some says 2 months).
So why are you worrying about Duncan's game? He was already knew that he's divorcing.
TMZ trying to give grizz bulletin board material, tbqh
I'm going to get flamed, but anyway:
When I've had buddies who have stepped out on their wives - two things have happened:
1. They start behaving like younger versions of themselves.
2. They get a divorce.
When was the LAST time Tim was 1st team all-NBA?
Just saying....
I saw Tim a few months ago with his wife and kids at a park just south of Borne. They sat next to my wife and I as all of our kids were playing in the same area. I was not listening into their conversation but they seemed like a pretty happy couple and were certainly not acting like there was any animosity. My wife was surprised when I told her about the divorce this morning as she thought the same thing that day.
Could be that both parties just decided to move on. It happens. I have a few friends who have divorced but remained very friendly with their ex's, if nothing else, for the sake of their kids.
Did he flip you off?
Some people let their lives play out very publicly, and the neighbors all know about the marital problems from the shouting out on the front lawn. But private people -- which Tim and Amy obviously are -- aren't like that. This could be some kind of problem that's been there off and on for years, and we'd never know about it. Or maybe she was banking on finally having him around all the time by now instead of gone for half the year, but then he goes and has a career renaissance in his late 30s and wants to keep playing, and it led to too much fighting. It certainly doesn't have to be some kind of cheating thing.
I feel bad for them and their kids, and I hope everybody comes out of this ok. But we don't really know any details, they pretty clearly don't want us to know any, and I feel fine respecting their privacy and not worrying about what the details actually are.
What a got. I bet Amy got tired of his ugly lanky ass and beta male personality. The gay ass tramp stamp he had was probably a factor too. If Tim wasn't rich he would be pulling 4s at best. Good for Amy, now she can find someone in her league and move out of that hole San Antonio
Tons of comments on the EN story bashing them. I want to do the same but at the same time it's just giving them clicks. Wish there was another way to let EN how ed up it is they broke this to national media now. I've seen some good comments about people cancelling their subscriptions.
well I'm gonna have to say. Good riddance. And great timing.
Tony started playing like MVParker right after his divorce. Duncan will follow suit imo.
If you confirm it without offering details, it helps get the facts out there -- and the story over with -- quicker. Stonewalling just makes it a bigger story while the media keeps digging.
Now the only way the media has to keep the story alive is to dig up dirt from people close to the Duncans who are willing to talk out of school, and I'm not sure that will be easy to do. And it's not like he's a huge tabloid name anyway, so they have less incentive to keep digging than they do for someone with a more hyped name.
Confirm the story fast, starve the media for additional details, let it die as quickly as possible.
