Hyping up the Pacers so the Heat looks good.![]()
1-1 against the champions in the ECFs with a team consisting of:
- No consistent go-to guys for shot creation
- One of the worst 3 benches in the NBA
- No shooters
- No reliable ball-handlers
- Two monkeyballers at starting guard positions, the worst position for monkeyballers
Crazy, I'm intrigued by what he can do if they can swap Granger for a PG and/or more depth, tbh..
Hyping up the Pacers so the Heat looks good.![]()
good coach, i'm a fan. doing a good job against Phili Jackson.
I've been saying Vogel is a top-tier coach all year, tbh..
I also said Indiana was Miami's toughest challenge last year, while half this forum thoughtKC would beat the Heat out of blind loyalty to the West
..
On this we agree.
Don't consider him Top 3 or 5 because of his costly slip-ups that always seem to happen at big moments, but the guy can put together a system. He's pretty young too. If he gets more comfortable on the big stage he could be the next big-name coach.
The main reason the Pacers look better this playoffs is that Barbosa is gone tbh
Pacers with Hibert in the mid have always been a nightmare to miami since day one imho, and it doesn't mean the Pacers are really that good or . give spurs them pacers in the finals and spurs will win it in 5 games. miami are just poorly matched against pacers, and their coach is such an idiot
This is very true. But he is still young like Spo in 2011 ...
the best NBA team hiring the tiest coach![]()
An let's not forget Indy choked some in Game 1 ... and in NY series ...
He seems to have a bright future but let's hold off on top 3 talk ...
1. Pop
2. RC
3. Doc
3. Tibs
All have won it all (tibbs as top assistant) and are better than Vogel ...Spo outcoached him game 1 as well and has a ring.
Doc Rivers
..
he is the same age as ray allen btw
I gotta give props for correcting his mistake from game 1. He actually put in Hibbert to close the game, and they got two turnovers down the stretch. A lot of coaches can't get over themselves and admit they were wrong.
I want the Heat to go down as much as anyone, but this is premature ejac tbh. Save it for if the Pacers win the next one.
i think he is a good coach. Not sure if he could rang without TT but willing to give him benefit of the doubt. his inbounds plays are just a notch below Pop but he doesnt have as good as offensive talent and he makes it work. Plus i like his ra-rah hoarse voice speeches ...
I also think PG is not as big a need Hill is serviceable if they get a two guard who can create offense to help Paul G
I'm not a fan of PGs, but George Hill's ball-handling is embarrassing, tbh..
His ideal role is 6th man IMO..Lance Stephenson shouldn't be starting, either..
How did he hype them? He just shot on everybody besides the coach
The most glaring thing you mentioned is the ball-handling. Holy ...George Hill played well but he looks so uncomfortable out there when pressed. I think Stephenson is a better ball-handler (George definitely is), but he's not a true PG and his decision-making is obviously suspect.
Vogel is easily a Top 3-4 coach in the league. Losing Granger helps a lot as well but he's put together a solid gameplan against the Heat.
Pacers have zero fear of Miami and a large part of that is due to Vogel tbh.
So I guess what we can all get from this is that the Spurs would give the Heat a of a challenge.
-Beast coach.
-Several go to guys
-One of the best bench in the NBA
-Great shooters
-No monkeyballers at guard positions.
