pop has screwed duncan in the regular season for years now by keeping his minutes down:
I was just looking up where Tim Duncan stands in several categories all time since I was wondering where he'd end up placing if he played until 40, and he's WAY higher in some categories than I thought he would be. Check out some of this stuff I found:
Career defensive rating:
1. Gar Heard 95.30 2. Tim Duncan 95.37 3. Dave Cowens* 95.52 4. David Robinson* 95.65 5. Ben Wallace 95.76
Timmy was actually #1 fairly comfortably until his rating slipped some the last few years ('09-'12)
Defensive win shares:
1. Bill Russell* 133.64 2. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar* 94.49 3. Hakeem Olajuwon* 94.47 4. Wilt Chamberlain* 93.92 5. Tim Duncan 93.50
Only one full win share away from 2nd all time. He will likely easily get that next year. Obviously he can't match the great Bill Russell, but getting #2 is still very impressive.
Blocks:
1. Hakeem Olajuwon* 3830 2. Dikembe Mutombo 3289 3. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar* 3189 4. Mark Eaton 3064 5. David Robinson* 2954 6. Patrick Ewing* 2894 7. Shaquille O'Neal 2732 8. Tim Duncan 2652
Rebounds:
1. Wilt Chamberlain* 23924 2. Bill Russell* 21620 3. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar* 17440 4. Elvin Hayes* 16279 5. Moses Malone* 16212 6. Karl Malone* 14968 7. Robert Parish* 14715 8. Nate Thurmond* 14464 9. Walt Bellamy* 14241 10. Kevin Garnett 13843 11. Wes Unseld* 13769 12. Hakeem Olajuwon* 13748 13. Tim Duncan 13219
Timmy is also:
25th in offensive win shares
11th in win shares per 48
9th in PER
22nd all time scoring (will be 10th-12th if he continues at the pace he did this year for 3 more years)
5th in DRB%
11th in TRB%

Those same years almost directly coincide with something else in Duncan's life![]()
True, like not having a second big man to help him out, Jefferson's presence, and knee/foot injuries. He's been better last year and this year he's right at his excellent career average (led the NBA).
I know what you were getting at though. I read some of your many posts about it in other threads. Some were funny, like "Cuckgate", but tbh, it already feels kinda old since it's been brought up so much.
That's cold.
