I am gonna say - conservatively - 3. This would have been going to the finals -(if they don't it up now) for ring #8 in Timmy's illustrious career - had Pop not ed it up.

Pop made a mistake by not thinking the Spurs could go back to being a good defensive team. He made a mistake by not thinking Splitter could help in that transformation. Very simply, a HOF coach made some major mistakes that alot of Spurs fans recognized.

Absolutely. I have been around during the lean years.
But Pop can still make mistakes with associated assistants, RJ being a huge one. I will say I think he left Bonner in too long with Splitter last night. I found myself flailing about watching Randolph continue to get rebounds over Bonner late. This, IMO, does not equate to Pop is a stubborn dunce.
The associated posts that believe Pop started Splitter way too late and declare this obvious due to Tiago's current form...
