Damn Kawhi![]()
There are only 3 players putting up these types of numbers in the 2013 playoffs..if you add minutes to the criteria(since 1 of the players, Andre Iguodala, was eliminated in the 1st round), there are only 2 players putting up these numbers in the 2013 playoffs:
Lebron James
Kawhi Leonard
and kick ass D to boot.
His steals are huge momentum gainers.
In his own way reminds me of Bruce on a lot of D stops and steals.
Slomo can explain it.

Ya, any ball in Leonard's vicinity is a deflection or steal, tbh, those arms and hands are unfair..
What can you say about the offense becoming a mess when Kawhi tries to create though? Does it still holds true for you?
He's the guy at SF we've badly needed for many, many years. And, crazy, he's extremely different in the way he plays from Bruce Bowen, too.
i didn't like him too much against the panda's tbh.. he needs to knock down more 3s.
Not bad for someone who had "regressed" from his rookie season according to many around here not that long ago...
Quiet and efficient -- the perfect Spur.
Leonard is a top defender in this league already, those plastic man arms deflect so many balls....
Green has gotten really good at being pesky but Leonard still has him beat. Watching these youngins lock fools down on the perimeter has been amazing.
I wanted to post this the other day, but I thought: Lets wait till the end of the POs...
I will post this random stat now!
How many players, with 21 years or younger have ever average at least what Kiwi is averaging in this POs??
13 Points, 8 Reb, 1.6 Steals, 0.6 Blocks
How many?
Well....3 players.
Who?
Magic , Barkley and Dantley. Dantley did it in only 3 games, same for Magic, so theres only 1.
Barkley in 84-85.
The key here, the age. 21 years old...amazing...

your memory is impressive, tbh..
And he "regressed" only because his 3pt% went down a bit, but the rest of his game just kept on growing. I remember early in the season he'd get almost always get called for charging on his one-man fastbreaks. By the end of the season, those calls were non-existent anymore. Aside from watching typical Spurs ball, the other thing I really enjoyed this season was seeing the in-season progress development of the young guys, namely Kawhi, Splitter, Green and CoJo.
Timvp calling anyone out this run.
Nice line except Bron Bron is putting up near 28 PERDude is a freak
Kawhi is playing well.
Unfortunately, some of our homer COK fans told us that Kawhi would average 20/10/5 in these playoffs. Like LOL, man...
I'm pretty sure only Duncan, Garnett and Bird have done that..
He's having an amazing playoff run. Let's hope it continues.![]()
I posted a similar thing about how good Kawhi's been in a different thread(One of the Golden State Games When he was averaging 15 & 10 on 60% TS in the series). I don't know what people expect. I think if he held LeBron to 0 points, had a Wilt line and the spurs won people would still complain about him not improving.
I am hoping Kawhi's length can bother James. I think we're going to need Diaw and TMac to guard him at times also.
he'll be the boy wonder if he can work on fastbreaks
I think Pop will have to resort to this if Leonard gets in foul trouble. You can't sacrifice Diaw and Green also getting into foul trouble. Then we'd be screwed for sure.
lol Phillip
lol Kawhi=Battier/Tony Allen
