Good for Paul..proud of him

"Without saying those exact words, he did.
Del Negro says that Donald Sterling was feeling pressure and despite their good relationship, he understands why he made the choice he did."
Another coach killer in LA, I dont understand why he was fired tbh, he took an average team in chicago to the playoffs, and did a good job with the clippers this year, they just faced a better team in memphis and got backdoor'd.

lol players league, so what happens if they dont win a ring with a black coach of their choice?
Chris Paul and Deron Williams still competing it seems....
Vinny's a whiny who constantly makes excuses and throws his players and the front office under the bus, not a surprise that he's starting up the blame game again.... he still blames John Paxson for getting fired in Chicago, as opposed to the mediocrity he himself put out on the floor
And no, he did not do a good job in LA.... it's funny how the same people who call the Clippers "monkeyballers" rush to defend that idiot of a coach who had no system or plays, tbh..... The Backdoor was mostly on Vinny's complete inability to make in-game adjustments and his horrible rotations, especially continuing to start washed-up Chauncey Billups who was contributing nothing while leaving actually productive players like Willie Green and Eric Bledsoe on the bench.... he also lost the locker room on a yearly basis in both Chicago and LA....
Paul is the one whining about the coach... you guys had first round in the playoffs, and got ass swept by a team that was better. This one was on the monkeyballers, and from what it sounds the way chris paul is trying to run things, he was probably the one that was running the offense, and wont have it any other way because hes "CP3". Truth is, his pick and roll, which is the only thing they have, besides isolating jamal crawford one on one, was completely shut down by memphis. Quit trying to spin and make excuses about VDN, guy has been going to the playoffs consistently.
LOL, Del Negro is garbage and just 3-4 steps above D'Antoni. Can't blame Paul for wanting him gone.
I dont think so, the way the clippers are built are to be a run up and down team, they have no inside presence and have like 6 gaurds, they need to make a move to get them selves a solid big man to ever be a legitimate contender. You cant shoot only jumpers and expect to go anywhere.
Funny how it's all the players' fault for us, but when the Lakers were sucking, it was nothing but"Fire Mike Brown! We want Phil! Fire D'Antoni!"
from Lakerfan
Memphis and the Clippers have been pretty evenly matched, tbh.... it came down to Lionel Hollins finally realizing that the Grizz needed to feed the bigs - especially ZBo - more, and Vinny not responding with any adjustments of his own per par....
CP3 was pretty much the Clippers' whole offense, but that was Vinny's plan, he even admitted it in interviews.... CP3 had been criticizing the halfcourt offense all year, so it clearly wasn't his idea for the team to run the "make me look good, Chris" system, tbh....
VDN has only gone to the playoffs consistently because the East is garbage and because it'd be pretty hard to miss the playoffs with the talent he had in LA.... he's also consistently failed once he's gotten there, including a pitiful 2-8 record in his last 10 playoff games, tbh....
God I remember the horrible out of bounds plays he'd draw up for the Bulls in that legendary series with Boston a few years ago. Any just below-average coach would have won them that series.
Other Coaches would have done more with the roster the clippers have, VDN had his chances..
Nah Son, everyone wanted Phil, from the get go, so dont spin that .
My point was is that CP3 was having it his way on the court... hes such a good leader, and court general , and all that bull , if that whiney little , let the VDN coach the offense like he coached the defense..I mean werent they the 4th best defensive team in the league this year? Paul needs to play not try to coach/GM/owner
Yeah...... with a more competent coach the Clippers would of lost in 7 against Memphis.
Chris Paul was great against Memphis, actually.
A combination of factors doomed the Clippers in that series, none of which can be blamed on Paul: Del Negro's inability to adjust. Blake Griffin's ankle. And DeAndre Jordan, who was the team's weakest link all season. It's why the Clippers were so intent on trading him, because they knew he would be a huge liability in the playoffs with his lack of offensive game, poor FT shooting, low basketball IQ, and terrible defense outside of highlight blocks. His per was 7.4 in the Memphis series.
If the Clippers managed to get Garnett, Randolph doesn't go off and they beat Memphis in 5.
Bottom line is, there's no shortage of coaches out there who never even dreamed of starting off their careers with stars like Rose, Blake, and CP3 and supporting talent like Deng, Noah, Thabo, Eric Gordon, Bledsoe, Crawford, Barnes, etc....
VDN was handed plenty of talent, young and old, to start his career with no prior assistant coaching experience, and he wasted it all.... he really has no one to blame for that but himself, tbh.....
Del Negro should've flat out just said racism got him fired.
Since you like swallowing and all............ wanna suck mah ?
GET IN DAT ASS
I'm usually one to crucify coach killers, but in this case it's obvious that not bringing back VDN is the right move. CP3 would he stupid to continue to play for such an incompetent coach, tbh.
he was even a top3 MVP candidate at one point in the regular season which makes me LOL, had he won it he would've been the biggest MVP flop since 07's dirk tbh
