shut up got
Here's why::
They purposely try to avoid the Lakers, in doing so, drop to the 2nd seed..the easier path to the finals..
Kobe injures his Achilles and there goes any fight the Lakers have..Kobe's healthy, the Lakers win at least 1-2 games..
The Nuggets lose Gallo which dampers their typical productivity..Warriors catch fire and beat the Nuggets but in doing so suffer an injury to Lee and Curry..
Spurs draw the hot but young Warriors..fluke out a game 1 win and then benefit from Curry reinjuring his ankle..there goes the any fight the Warriors had..
Instead of drawing the Thunder, they draw an offensive mediocre team in the Grizzlies who barely beat the Chimpbrook-less Thunder in 5 close games..a Grizzlies team who also flukely eliminated the hobbled Clippers, a team that should have gone further..
The Spurs are the luckiest team ever, tbh..
Right up there with the 09 Lakers. Too bad the Spurs won't have a pansy-ass Finals opponent like the 09 Lakers did though.
Milwaukee? <--
Chicago were missing half their team.
Indiana is full of chuckers and dumbasses like Stephenson and George who don't know how to give up the ball into the post. I would be embarrassed for my team if they were tied 2-2 to that team. Memphis would beat the Pacers in 6 games![]()
But yeah, the Spurs have had one of the easiest paths to the Finals... that is until the Heat get there. What a joke of a path.
It was a pretty easy path overall, but not even the easiest of the 4 Conference Finals teams tbh.
Not of all time but probably one of the easiest for a Western Conference team. 2007 was easier for the Spurs than this year.
Western conference bias strong in here..Eastern conference is known for teams playing physical and going balls out on defense..you all wouldn't understand that of course
That 2007 Suns team was better than any opponent the Spurs had to go through this year, maybe even including the Heat.
Yet the Spurs were only the favorites in one of those series
horry hip check in 3... 2... 1...
Milwaukee
a team with Nate Robinson as their starting PG
1/10 troll attempt. The Heat are just struggling with easier opponents.
brb facing a team with the DPOY and 3 All-Defensive players (including highest vote receiver Tony Allen) is easy.
The 86-87 Lakers say hi.
We do have to play a pretty legitimate team in the Finals. The Pacers will have some tough match-ups!
Doesn't matter. It will be the sweetest thing tapping that Heat ass.![]()
See ya in the Finale .
Is it just me, or do the majority of these Heat bandwagoners know nothing about The NBA; i.e, seeding placement, conference differences, other team's styles of play... beside's the Heat's (obviously) etc, etc, etc. They don't even post in the Heat game threads until the final moments of the game when the Heat look like they are pretty much about to win the game (no comments during the games), just so they can laugh and brag about another Heat W? Their excuse is always "coasting", which is complete and utter bull ... and the only thing they have to say back to Spurs fan is... "Oh, The Heat are just getting warmed up to beat The Spurs in The Finals, that's all..." When they haven't even completed their series... makes them think they can talk ?? LMFAO!! WTF is that!?? I mean, seriously, my 3 year-old nephew could analyze better than these clowns. These "fans" are complete and utter FAKES, I swear. No BB IQ whatsoever. They say typical that my casual NBA fan-friend would say/has said about The Spurs.

The Hamilton-Billups Pistons had easy paths to the Finals in my opinion. 2002 and 2003 Nets probably had the easiest for an Eastern Conference team. The Eastern Conference was extremely bad from 2002 to 2007. How many teams won 50 or more games in the Eastern Conference during that span? I say 4 to 7.
'07 was pretty easy too, tbh... even more so when Amre and Di
w got themselves suspended...
at the notion that the Spurs would throw away HCA against the Thunder to avoid the 2nd worst team in the postseason this year.
The Spurs' path to the Finals was of average difficultly. Not historically easy like the '09 Lakers, who didn't play a team as good as the Grizzlies in their run.
The Grizzlies did indeed have limitations, but were still a very, very good team. Before the series started, the majority of fans and analysts picked them to beat the Spurs. And they were correct in their presumption based on how the Grizzlies, who were peaking, entered the series and the matchup problems they presented to the Spurs.
The reason Memphis appeared to be an "easy" opponent was because Tony Parker went nuclear and Tim and Tiago turned into the Wallace brothers defensively. Two things no one saw coming.

The coasting excuse is funny. Talk about going full re if the Heat really are "coasting". Every game = more chance of injury. Any sane coach/team/organization knows that if you have the ability to crush someone, you ing do it. The Heat almost lost Bosh and James in the same game because of "coasting". So by Heat fans logic, their team is full re .
