A ridiculously good series for Kawhi would be for the Spurs to win; him to play superb defense and hit close to 40% of his three pointers, 80% of his free throws and 50% of his shots inside the arc. Rest will all be gravy.
Kawhi Leonard catapults to s om in the Finals vs. the Heat/Pacers due to a ridiculously good series? I am talking a series where he averages 20/10/5/3/2.
Hypothetical thread btw tbqh.

I don't care if Matt Bonner wins FMVP as long as Spurs win.
if he averages around 15 and 7 and 1.5 steals and the spurs win the championship, no words can describe how most spurs fans would feel
I'd be very happy. He needs to jump to s om quick before his bad knees shut him down.
That's pretty realistic IMHO.![]()
The only way I could see this happening is if he shoots hot on 3's, and 4 extra points (via putbacks) per game from the 2 extra rebounds he's hypothetically averaging, and heads to the FT line more often. If we won, I'd be amazed. It could be his potential breakout series, something that has a positive effect on his whole career. If we lose.. I'll still view him as a clutch player. Just sad as that Spurs lost
I prefer him to play lockdown defense and score 10-12 points with 6-8 rebounds. That should be plenty.
Was gonna type the same numbers, but you beat me to it.![]()
I don't care if he averages 2 ppg and 1 board, if he shuts down Lebron and we win then he's my finals MVP
Knowing Kawhi 1 rpg would mean he would only be playing 5 mpg. The kid boards like he's a big man.
My meme haha![]()
You get my point though. Don't get tied up on the numbers and over think the intent.
That would be great, but I'd be almost as happy if any other Spurs player put up those same numbers too.
Whether we're playing Miami or Indiana, his rebounding will be very important. Leonard has played an underrated role in getting heavily contested rebounds during these playoffs. Our defense has been good and our execution on offense has been getting better and better. TO's and rebounds will be the key for us. If we limit the second chances and extra possessions we have a good shot at winning this thing.
i'd be really pissed off
Happier than Dikembe Mutombo blocking a shot!

Like Tyronn Lue?
If he just plays within himself he will do great
