Sources: Kings agree to terms with top Warriors assistant Mike Malone for head coaching job
The Sacramento Kings have reached an agreement in principle on a four-year contract to hire Golden State assistant Mike Malone as head coach, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.
The deal will pay Malone more than $2 million annually, sources told Yahoo! Sports.
A formal announcement of Malone's hiring is expected on Friday, and the deal includes a team option for the fourth year, sources said.
Malone has been the top assistant to Golden State's Mark Jackson for the past two seasons.
Malone is expected to hire his father, longtime NBA assistant, Brendan Malone, as an assistant coach.
Sacramento is also conducting a search for a new general manager.
Before joining the Warriors, Malone had been a top assistant for Monty Williams in New Orleans and Mike Brown with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Will see what Marc Jackson is worth, when he has to figure it out, how to play Lee and Bogut same time.
I got a good smile when I first read about the hire earlier today. Instant downgrade for GS. I don't think I saw Mark Jackson draw up a single play during the post season. He's going to get exposed as a head coach next year.

I still remember a stupid speech Eric Snow gave from Game 4 of the 2007 Finals. He stood there and said "12 Minutes or go home! 12 Minutes or go home! What we gon do? What we gon do?" and then gave this re ed yet angry questioning face to the Cavs bench going into the fourth. It was one of the stupidest speeches I have ever heard, so naturally Mark Jackson explodes all over himself and raves about how he would hire Eric Snow to coach his team. Mark Jackson was more inspired than the Cavs players were.

First thing Malone needs to do is find the right psych meds for Cousins or have him ins utionalized.
Let's see how the bible got does without a good maid around to clean up his bull .
