I heard this guy when he took over Jim Rome's time spot, I never could place the voice with the face until I looked it up. How did this comedian/actor end up with a sports show?
By filling in for Jim Rome and actually playing someone on a TV show that had a sports talk radio show. It failed past 1 season.
They took Rome off the air here in Austin and replaced him with Mohr. He's an average comedian but he doesn't know about sports. Rome was way more entertaining.
No idea, I googled it this morning to put the finals patch on Timmy. I think I see a purple laker cap on the left, so possibly Game 1/2 of the first round.

Nope...you're definitely not the only dude. Mohr is miles better than Rome, tbh. Rome loves hearing himself talk and will take and read email after email about people saying how good he is and how good his interviews are. Mohr makes it fun. Dude is just out there having fun. He even said it himself. He's doing his dream job now.

Rome is still on the radio but he has a deal with CBS Sports so the affiliates are different now so Mohr has the spot with FoxSports.. I like Mohr, I don't take a lot of what he says serious

Mohr is terrible. Used to love Rome for the comedy, but his sports takes have always been awful and he used to be a huge Lakers homer (haven't listened to him regularly in years though).

Rome had his time. he used to he good, like the Simpsons in the 90s.
Mohr is a breath of fresh air. Great, no, but still entertaining.
His comedy is decent, but holy ing do your research you smug sounding piece of . God that guy was annoying.

Mohr was amusing for about a week. I stopped listening but if that interview is any indication of the quality I'm not missing anything.

West Coast sports talk is about the personality of the host. Sports knowledge is just gravy. East Coast sports talk is about sports knowledge. The personality of the host is just gravy.
