I've wanted Spurs vs. Heat for a long time too. It would have been nice in 2005, 2006 or 2012. But this Heat team in 2013 might be too good.

Still think Pacers are easier to defeat though.
I agree. If the Spurs would happen to win, it would make it that much sweeter. Also, it would "legitimize" the le. It would take away the excuse that the Spurs had an easy path to the championship. Plus, nothing like taking down Superfriends, tbh.
Yall are crazy imo. I'd rather face the opponent that would give us the best chance of winning, which is easily Indiana. No one's going to remember this if we barely lose the them but put up a "valiant effort." Not afraid of Miami, but I'd much rather play the Pacers. But, the point is moot anyways, cause we're playing Miami.
This Spurs team has been getting better and better each round this postseason. If we land the Heat , then I predict Spurs in 5.![]()
Pacers won't be able to do what they did to the Knicks/Heat against Tim/Tiago. Tiago has a soft mentality, but he's still 6'10+ and can deal with David West.
Pacers = easy championship
The Heat championship would be a whole lot sweeter, especially in the history books. 10 years from now this is a championship against, 3-4 hall of famers, 2 top 10 players and an overall deep team. (Even if they aren't playing like it now)
I don't like the Spurs odds against the Heat though, they match up a whole lot better imo. We saw that big ball isn't gonna beat the Spurs the last round, small ball probably will. We all know how Tiago/Tim defend against shooting bigs. They let them take those mid range shooters. Bosh can drain those. If I were ya'll I'd be praying for the Pacers. They aren't a threat to the Spurs.
Officiating would be a concern to me.
You think Miami's gotten the advantage in officiating against the Pacers?
Be careful what you wish for. The Heat carry more of a resemblance to the Warriors and Thunder rather than the Grizzlies, and we've all seen that it is not exactly smooth sailing for the Spurs in that regard.
I would prefer a Spurs v. Houston Comets Finals tbh.
Yeah, Pacers more like LA and Grizz! They are a big slower team with a weaker backcourt! The Spurs match up better with that style of play.
I hope the Pacers win in 7. Forget the Heat-apologist excuses and the grander glory, whatever is the best chance for the Spurs to win #5, which is beating an emotionally drained Indiana.
Easier matchup for the Spurs is Indiana. If Spurs can check Memphis' bigs they can check Indiana's and there isn't a PG nearly as good as Conley on Indiana. Hill can't check Parker and Joseph would match up Augustin well. Kawhi can give George problems and Spurs just have more offensive firepower than Indiana.
Birdman suspended will hopefully help Indiana win game 6 then it's a one game shot in game 7. Probably wont happen but that's the matchup that would be better
If Indiana makes it back to Miami, no way are they winning a game 7 at their place. Lebron/Stern won't allow it.
Absolutely. Heat players like Lebron and Battier constantly flop, and they are constantly rewarded for it.
Plus Chris Anderson was somehow able to blindside a player, and then shove that same player, and avoid an ejection. Meanwhile Nazr Mohammad was ejected for merely shoving Lebron James.
Officiating is absolutely a concern for anyone playing the Heat.
It'll be the best Finals in a while for numerous reasons.
I hope the Spurs sweep them. Then I will have an excuse to act like this dude.
Head says pacers, heart says heat
You didn't sell much there blake.
I didn't at first, but at this point, I'm all for a chance to make Lebron 0-2 against the Spurs in the Finals. I think each team will be tough in their own right, but the reward is much bigger beating the Heat
I'd love a Spurs/Heat Finals. For Miami to be team to end the Spurs era once and for all along with handing them their first finals loss will be ing sweeter than the ass ing they gave OKC last year.
