LOL! Love Bruce!
I turned on the TV to play some video games. When it came on, the channel was on ESPN and this guy and Bruce were talking about the ECF. Bruce was talking about Lebron being there many times, that many people have challenged him. He said it in a way that made it seem like none of those challengers ever got the best of Lebron. Except that HE did. I thought it was pretty funny and classy of him.

I saw it too, I wonder how often he talks to Whi-Whi..
The eleven of us that were watching know the truth. Lebron got shut the down.
Bruce Bowen always had the best defensive player manning the paint on his team (Mourning, then Duncan). Just saying...
With authority. Probably still haunts 'Bron in his nightmares.![]()
the other day on the radio he said that he didnt think spurs were a dynasty cuz we didnt repeat as champs....i was disappointed in that comment...especially from him
IIRC, this forum said Bruce slowed Lebron down a bit in 2007 Finals, did NOT shut him down.
Props to BB for telling it like it is.
I dunno about what others said, but I did say he got the best of Lebron in that 07 finals. That's different from him shutting 'Bron down. IIRC, Bron's numbers were bad during the first 2 games, but they got better during the last 2.
LeBron is a better play now, and Bruce is gone too.
Wait...so 4 rings in 9 years isnt, but the 90s Rockets are wIth only 2 rings and no other appearances?
never heard anyone call rockets a dynasty....lakerfan gonna hate. damn st8 spurs are dynasty
But back to back automatically makes one no?
And yes I have heard people mention the Rockets "dynasty".
Not sure what you are implying this could possibly have to do with Bowen being one of the greatest perimeter lock down defenders ever. It's not like his reputation was earned based on opponent teams' overall offensive stats.
Yea, I just posted this in another thread. I was very surprised and disappointed to hear him say that too. Even Bill Simmons disagreed with him. lol
Yeah, not sure how playing with a premier defensive anchor your whole career could possibly impact Bowen. Solid point.
Or more likely not wanting to come across as biased. The River Hate is flowing deeply and swiftly these days. 5 in 13 has a high likelihood of inducing mass suicides in Lakerland.
With the 4 (so far) les and the best winning percentage in all of pro sports in the US during Tim's reign, I don't see how it isn't a dynasty.
Or the fact that every other team considered a dynasty has defended their le at least once. Don't let that faze you though![]()
Not the 1980s Celtics.
I don't consider them a dynasty. Only one per decade:
50s: Lakers
60s: Celtics
70s: Nobody
80s: Lakers
90s: Bulls
2000s: Lakers
2010s: Miami Heat pretty much a lock
Antiquated thinking on Bruces part tbh.
Unfazed fwiw.
Your opinion. What's not an opinion is that those aforementioned teams all defended their les.
