Nah...I'm pretty cool people at the hospital. The only ones I have trouble with usually are the drug seekers and the personality disorders. I try to give most people there a fair shake.

Why don't you tell me now if you are truly lying. It's not cool to waste the time of busy hospital staff chasing down some false accusation. They have enough to deal with. If you are not I will call Monday and report the facility via the HIPAA website.

I think you spent too much time working in the looney bin.What''s accusation here?That people call up the hospital and the psyche patients are answering the phone.that''s the issue or that anyone can call and asked for anybody.I don''t even see the big deal.This is was also happening in hospital when I was outpatient.I know one patient said I died over the phone,but even my sister eventually came to her senses and thought,no nurse would say that,given the tone of his voice.I look at it as rare event.

Let me paint a scenario here. A 23 year old female checks herself into a facility for depression. She has a mom that thinks she should just "will her way out of it" and is against her doing such a thing. The girl does not want mom to know she has gone to the facility to get help. While she is there she voices these concerns to the staff and they assure her that her privacy is protected. However...while she is at the facility, mom finds out by accident that she has gone there and calls the daughter there to confront her about her decision. Some patient answers the phone...the lady asks if her daughter is there and the patient confirms it. Just like that her privacy that she thought she had is compromised.

I could paint a dozen or so similar scenarios but you get the picture.

And yes, I will call your bluff. I will report possible privacy violations to the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services and I will call the facility and tell them I have done so.

tbh bene's right...HIPAA violations are taken very seriously. Many lawsuits and subsequent terminations have been made for far less
