The most ironic part of it is that while the US pretends to "liberate" people in the middle east, the leaders the US goes after are the leaders who nationalize the oil fields and give the land's most valuable resource back to the people the US claims to be liberating. The real concern is making sure people in 'Murica don't start figuring out how successful oil field nationalization is in strengthening the middle class
It's just like how the US tries to demonize Hugo Chavez as an evil dictator when his oil field nationalization led to the poverty rate in Venezuela getting sliced in half and inflation adjusted GDP increasing 97% since Chavez took office, while his barter system completely eliminated trade deficits/surpluses. That kind of empirical evidence is dangerous for the few people who profit off oil in America

Well the first part is an idea...similar to "the war on terror"...so you'll never eliminate the "it's just a few" crowd. The second part is interesting though....what sort of special treatment are you referring too?
