Sure, the ones who wanted to keep watching the team for free. If they were that loyal, they wouldn't consider moving because they would be sold out on the season tickets.
Loyalty is easy when it costs nothing.
In light of this...
I was wondering which NBA team has the more loyal fanbase, in your opinion?
IMO, there's a couple of teams out there. For example, I thought the Kings fans really fought when it looked like their team was going to relocate...

Prolly Blazer fans tbh. All of their big-name players seem to blow out their knees year after year and their team remains mostly irrelevant, yet they continue to sell out at home.
people who could afford the front seats ain't all lakers fans imho, and they probably ain't even homegrown LA citizens to begin with. most of them are celebrities or media personalities from all over the country who currently reside in LA, and they only attend the game because they're obsessed with crowd and cameras just like i was with scarface joderson
I would say spurs, but lets see what happens when timmy/pop retire
for now, Dallas? Knicks?
So let me get this straight, there's a BILLION things to do in LA but every single season game is in essence sold out with RIP OFF ticket prices and RIP OFF parking fees. Even the top nose bleed seats which run around $100-150 a game are sold out. But Spurs fans that have NOTHING better to do in SA wont even go to games even though most tickets are $10-20 in the nosebleeds. So they had to design a 'free ticket day'. LOL
I don't deny Laker fans suck because of the quiet noise level. I just think its funny that Staples is always sold out during Laker games and fan 'loyalty' is questioned.
I'd say bobcat fans, since they support their team even though they lose almost every game.
There's like 16 million people in LA metro lol.
Sacramento given all the they're putting up with.
Bulls, Warriors and Knicks were some of the best. Despite their teams drought, the fans stood by their team for a decade(s).
And oh the Heat too... Eastern Semis, Pivotal Game 5.

The sheer number of people in LA, Orange, and Riverside counties make it a "hot" ticket.

So? Clipper fans historically rarely sell out games if I'm not mistaken.
I didn't say Spursfan is the most loyal or even any more loyal than LA fans... back to the drawing board for you.
Denver fan deserve a nob here.
Even though their team are automatic first round fodders they stick around knowing heartbreak is always just around the corner.
Summer 2010 - Present Day Miami Heat fans.
They will defend their fandom until the Big Three breaks up.
Dem mavs. Although the mysterious disappearance of the best Mav posters on this site before and right after raping the heat will never be explained
We didn't celeberate the championship like gots either IRL or on this site like certain be@ners did in 09/10 on ST and downtown la
Clippers were in top 10 in 2012 and 2013 (7th overall) 13th in 2011.
2008-2010 we dipped in the 20th overall range.
Worse was in 2003-2004 IIRC, this were the tiest years in the decade 25th. Elton brand, Olowokandi, Maggette and Andre Miller years. Elton Brand era rebounded in 05-06 ranking 11th and despie missing the playoffs in 2007 landed 13th overall, no surprise there since they made the playoffs.
i was going to say the same thing. tlong and the hipsters deserve their credit. very loyal fanbase for a team with such ty luck. Portland definitely has more loyal fans than Seattle, though perhaps Seattle's other attractions play a significant part.
As I said...if I'm not mistaken...in which case I was mistaken in this particular case

Well the Lakers and Heat seem to have many fans on the road, so I'll go with them.

The original poster asks a great question witch I have been thinking about all pre/post season and I wish I had a good answer but I don't but since I have bean thinking about it for so long I will share my thoughts and sea what you guys think. 1) If the Lakers start off bad next year like this year and it became obvious that we would not have the home coart in the 1st round of the playoffs I would totally be onbored with Kobe asking for a trade and that team would be my next favorite team (tied with Lakers) for winning it all even if he went to Boston or Miami or Clippers as long as it means Kobe getting #6 tying Jordan and basically sementing his place as the greatast of all time (GOAT but not the farm animal) 2) why do all of these people I talk to compare Kobe to Pippin and Manu I mean it seams so stupid but I don't know how to respond when they say we missed the play offs without dominent big men like Shaq or Pau or Bynum (LOL) but I cant figure out how to respond so please help with some arguments/replendencies.
Tough one. I would say Bulls fans though. They were still packing that place even when they were losing 60 games a year, knowing full well they wouldn't win more than like 30 in a given year.
You post on Spurstalk, and you really think Spurfans are the most loyal?Way too many less bandwagoners on this site to make me ever think Spurfans are loyal as a whole. They lose a few games in a row and a bunch of people start making threads and posting about how the team needs to go into rebuilding mode and how Duncan needs to retire and Pop needs to be replaced.
