the old guards are pulling their last fight for glory and you can't underestimate that. sure the Heat are more talented and will have the upper hand but like my jocob pointed out above, the heat ain't unbeatable. the finals will be 60-40 favoring the Heat but anything can happen in the basketball world imho

Duncan is better than Lebron. He will go down as a better player than Lebron too. Case closed. Duncan made Lebron his in 2007. I wouldn't be surprised if it happened in 2013. Thank you.

Hibbert is nowhere near the player he looked like this series, While Duncan is that player, the Heat will be able to deal with it because the Spurs will not be able to force the Heat to stay big and not go to the small ball game.

I'll say this though: I'm concerned that the Heat's shooters collectively (Bosh, in particular, who always kills the Spurs anyway) are due for at least some progression to the mean.
I sure hope you're right on Bosh considering he's a 28% career 3pt shooter, shot 28% this regular season, and is 15/31 from distance in the playoffs thus far. That's a statistical anomaly if I've ever seen one.

Is that a real take? Parker/Green >= Hill/Lance on defense.
    lol no

Green and Hill are pretty much even.

Lance isn't amazing, but he is worlds better than Parker.

This. The difference is West and Splitter. West made Miami pay for going small, especially with his shooting ability. Splitter won't be able to do the same. And as soon as the Spurs go small, they are fcked

If Spo uses Bosh well (which he finally did in game 7 by having him attack Hibbert, and even though he didn't shoot real well, it put a lot more pressure on their bigs and opened the floor up more), Miami wins this easy.

What? Tim spaces the floor just fine and West was pretty garbage overall (11-17 in GM1, 2-9 in GM2, 8-16 in GM3, 5-11 in GM4, 7-16 in GM5, 5-14 in GM6 & 6-15 in GM7). Tim will play the same floor spacing role as West and will likely produce better. Plus Tim can go inside. Tiago will play more of the role of Hibbert (although the Spurs will use him in PnR more than Indy did Hibbert). Difference is, Spurs don't need all the scoring from their FC considering they have a PG that can score and shooters.

George Hill: Defensive Rating Reg Season - 102 / DefRtg Playoffs - 106
Lance Stephenson: Def Rating Reg Season - 101 / DefRt Playoffs - 102

Tony Parker: Defensive Rating Reg Season - 106 / DefRtg Playoffs - 101
Danny Green: Defensive Rating Reg Season - 102 / DefRtg Playoffs - 99

So, in the playoffs, TP and DG have quite easily been better defenders. By a decently wide margin considering Green has been by far the best of the group. Regular season TP was the worst, but he carries an offense and anyone who actually watches knows that when he focuses on defense (like say in the playoffs where it matters) he is a very quality defender. The gap in the playoffs is bigger than the gap in the regular season.
