Reppin dat team.
only been a few weeks and already starting to look like Stevie Franchise![]()
He realizes what he did and is trying to get a job next year with someone.
I'd be shocked if anyone signed him after "the only coach that could manage Stephen Jackson" gave him the boot for being a problem.
As long as he doesn't cheer for the Heat.
Damn we will ever truely know why he got tossed out of the Spurs? I sure do miss him.
He was pretty bad this season tbh but his no bull stance did good things for the Spurs even when he was garbage out there.
Jackson just didn't know when or how to stop pushing buttons. Damn shame. He brought the goods in game 6 last year. If not for poor officiating, he would have won that game for the Spurs. Sigh.
Thats weird on Manu since in 03 he said they were like brothers then and hung out all the time IF I remember correct?
Tuesday he revealed who he was talking about: Danny Green and Manu Ginobili.
Jackson insists Popovich wanted him to admit Green and Ginobili were better. More than likely, Popovich simply told Jackson they were better. That's why they were playing instead of him.
Pride wouldn't let Jackson accept that, and he admitted as much Tuesday. After showing the initial flash of anger when talking about Popovich, he later said Popovich knows him well, and that the release “was best for me so I wouldn't go crazy.”
Or, as Jackson said Tuesday, again smiling, “I wouldn't want me on the team, either.”

RT @JMcDonald_SAEN: So, uh, we ran into Stephen Jackson en route to Miami. "I wouldn't want me on the team either," he tells Buck_SA http://t.co/C2GNIf8AUs …
I hate to belabor the obvious, but that was ten years ago. They also shared the podium, and both said they didn't care who started. One of them was telling the truth.
either he's being a pouty or that time off made him realize the error of his ways and he wants to be a good sport about it.
Yes but if one of your last years you were on the team we hung out alot I always have some love for you! I don't hang out with you alot a year and then hate you later or despise you! He came back here saying all the right things, then left saying all the wrong things! Thats on Jax IMO!He wants to be here, me and you know this FULLY!
Yes.
No. He did probably the only thing that would get you cut by the Spurs. He wanted to be "right" more than he wanted to be here.
Hey, SBM, you little ....
Nah, he is what the money tells him to be. He will struggle to get a team next season, especially if he is not willing to make the minimum.
D-Rob is a forever Spur. Jackson ain't one. He will realize how bad his decision to question Pop's PT was when he tries to find a new team.
I would love to see SJAX make a big scene at AAA if the refs start acting like Stern's hired stooges.
"We are seeing a commotion on the court....a fan has apparently just walked onto the court and clocked Joey Crawford in the face. And we are hearing someone today gave David Stern an atomic wedgie!"
Props to SJax for his support.
I loved him while he was here, but like Manny said, the same thing that made him an NBA player is the same thing that lead to him being out of the NBA. There are some guys who offer enough basketball wise that you put up with their occasional crap (Latrell Sprewell, JR Smith, Carmelo) but Jack isn't in that category anymore. They let him go before he poisoned the locker room. Good riddance.
Nice spin job, too. "I'm happy, I got my money." Well, if you weren't such a childish malcontent, you could have had your money and a le shot.
I would love to c jack on lebron for just few minutes a game i dont care about his O struggle
I think that the spurs will give him a win share and ring. Not a huge one but part of the team this year and as a part of the organization and spurs family.
dude get's a ring if they win..
I just hope he doesn't pull some B.S. even if his heart is in the right place. Like showing up at Timmy's hotel room at 3 AM drunk the night before the game, just to wish him well...
I understand that he'll get a ring, but it's probably more about being a contributing factor to it, than the tangible ring itself. I don't know how someone could take pride in being a part of something when a team paid you to go away.
For most people, anyway.
No ring. The organization decides who gets that. They paid him to go away.
He'll probably get at least a half playoff share for playing most of the regular season. The players decide that.
