I don't bet on the Spurs, but if I did I would take that. Just another one of my dumb supers ions..
Line is Miami -240, Spurs +200
i'm thinking about dropping some money on this one.

I never understand odds. What exactly does that mean?
drop 25k on it imo
To win $100 on Miami winning you would have to bet $240.
if you bet $100 on the Spurs and they win you win $200.
Can anyone recommend a good online bookie?
Yeah, the one time I bet on the Spurs was in 2001 vs. the Lakers.I vowed never to bet on them again.Bad karma.
I guess you could always bet on the Heat. That way, either the Spurs win #5 or you win some $$$. WIN-WIN.
I like your logic!
I like where your head is at sir!![]()
Odds already dropping. I got in at Spurs +175
so its even better if one is betting on the spurs??
i.e. bet 100, win 275???
I also don't know how betting lines work.
Bet $100. (example) Win $175 if Spurs win. If you pulled your money out you would take out $275.
Interesting that as the days go by, people are thinking less and less of the spurs.
Actually, they are thinking more of the Spurs as the day goes by...Spurs were +200 earlier and Heat were -240.
Your initial post was Spurs +100
sorry, it was a typo, I changed it.
Spurs +175 basically means they're a 2-1 dog (1.9-1 to be exact). Not exactly "big time".
I thought it was close enough to big time to drop $500 on it. We will see.
thank you,
and thank you cosmic cowboy for clearing it up
thinking about betting $500 but then again I feel like it's bad karma. hmmmmm
Were you able to find a good bookie? I'm considering placing a bet.
I don't think my bet (or anything else I do) will make the Spurs win or lose.
I ended up using Sportsbook.com
I checked on another forum I frequent and a half dozen guys had used them with no problem. They had some really good first time bet promotions...they added more money to my base bet.
Thanks!
