It's absolutely relevant to the question.... high-quality role players and sidekicks aren't scrubs.... if you want to see scrubs, take a look at the rosters LeBron (in Cleveland) and Iverson dragged kicking and screaming to the Finals

This is as true as anything here but for different reasons.

You have people who pretty much either didn't even attend college or people who did attend and took liberal arts classes just to say "I'm the smartest guy in the league, see I graduated". Then they make tens of millions for dribbling a basketball and acting like every other porch monkey in any inner city anywhere in the US. It's not good. It's not something you want your kids to do other than get that kind of money. Famous doctors who've discovered cures to diseases that have plagued the planet and taken millions of lives haven't gotten anything close to that kind of a payout. Then again, the last doctor who could dunk was Dr J and he weren't no real doctor.

Don't see the problem with art major or anything that seems like a " ty" major to you, and i don't think what you actually learn from college is that important compared to your experience through the college life. if you only take college to earn yourself some kind of leverage in the future job market, then 60-70% college students are basically wasting their time in colleges now because only less than 50% of them will end up working in the professions they major in.

but some college life experience does help make you a better person imho. It taught you to be an adult and be a good person, it helps you resist the bad habits (smoking for example) no matter what you study. You can be very successful in some area w/o a college degree, like my goddess scarlett, but you would still have no idea how to be a respectable person. you would continue to live as a slum dog w/ all those ty habits despite how much money you have.
