Is this not a good time to mention that every time the cHeat have lost Game 1s in their kind-of-Big 3 era, they have swept their opponent?
It's fine to mention it. But personally, I'm filing it in the same file as "Spurs have never lost an NBA Finals." The Heat are still incredibly dangerous even down a game, but we already knew that, right? And some streaks will continue while others end.

We just have to worry about not relaxing our intensity for Game 2, along with looking for new wrinkles we can add to the schemes to try to keep Miami a step behind in making adjustments. If we can keep the effort level high for the balance, I like our chances.

Well, that one surprised the out of me. I thought the rust would do us in as it usually does after a long rest, but instead the team came out and slaughtered the Heat. If we'd made 2 of those 6 straight missed 3s it wouldn't have even been close.

I figured we'd suck in game 1 and steal game 2, but now I wanna go home 2-0!

    GO SPURS GO!!!!

    Kawai was kinda good tonight.

Imagine if he could make a ing 3....
I think Kawhi was better than kinda good tbh. His defense was elite.

The Spurs only shot 41.7% tonight. To go out and win this game on the road on a night they weren't hitting the three (7-23, 30.4%) is enormous. I still think the Spurs are going to have start really hitting the three to win this series, but to get one on a night when their shot was way off is just beyond huge.

4th time Heat have lost a Game 1 in the Bosh/James/Wade Era. Heat went on to sweep the next 4 games in each of the previous 3 instances

I believe that may have been the best game Miami will play in this series other than LBJ. Seriously, Bosh, Wade, Allen, Anderson, even, were hitting pretty much everything tonight and we still won!

By the way, I totally called the Bosh choke job before Spoelstra even put him back in! What does he do as soon as he enters? Bricks a wing 3! PFF! HA!!

That was a great, intense battle by two championship caliber teams, but the good guys won in the end. Gotta continue to play as a team (execute) and limit the turnovers. Oh yeah, Parker and Duncan are the too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Spurs didn't even play particularly well and still won. Love it.

Kawhi continues to be great, under the radar.

I thought Lebron seemed passive, and I think that may have been an effect of the Heat role players hitting so many shots. If they're not hitting, maybe Lebron feels more responsibility to take over the offense.

Awesome game! Also, on a night where no one else could make a 3, Danny Green stepped up big time with 4 of them. If Green can somewhat offset Wade, that'll be huge.

Great, great game. So happy for the W. But it is still just one game. You know Miami is going to come out with a vengeance next game. Lebron will prob post up and go ham, imposing his will. But, we needed to split to have a chance, and that's what we did. Incredible considering how poorly we shot the ball. Hopefully some of those start falling, esp for Kawhi. He played solid D though. Neal and Bonner playing so much threw me off. Neal hit a couple big buckets though.

That was a great win! My heart is still hyper and there is no way I can sleep. The Spurs really just kept pushing the ball and staying within the system, waiting for the Heat to make mistakes. Close at the end, but Tony and Tim are on a mission.
I originally would have been happy with a sweep, but making 3 closer to their average could send the Spurs home 2-0. Ok, getting ahead of myself...

    Still a great night!

I think TD knows for sure now he can dominate in the paint during this series and doesn't have to throw a lot of post moves to get his shot off.

this. i laugh how some people were saying Indiana had this great advantage with Hibbert and we don't. Just typical lazy journalism, Hibbert still has a long way to go to be on Timmy's level.

also, it's already been mentioned but Kawhi was huge despite not shooting particularly well. If he had a couple of his 3s connect, holy , because he was doing what Kawhi typically does, comes up with huge rebounds and steals at key moments.

F'n stole a game tbh. Lot of room to improve with a 1-0 lead in the Finals. I'll take it.

    I know this sounds stupid, but isn't game 2 a must-win?
