People can call it whatver they want, as long as it's a WIN.
That's generally what they call it when the road team wins....

I guess if we are at home and we lose a game one it's a steal too! So yeah they can say steal too.
Yeah we steal this one!
I'm kinda on the fence about it. I don't think they stole the game unless you thought they would have lost due to all the rust, in which case I agree with you.
They were never down by very much and while they didn't lead since the first quarter, it was almost always a 2 possession game. The Spurs pretty much played possum and traded baskets then kicked them in the teeth in the last 5 minutes before the Heat figured out how to counter it.
That said, it doesn't really offend me or anything that he thinks they stole it. Technically they were down for most of the game even though it wasn't by very much at all. Some people also operate with the thinking that any game you win on the road (especially a game 1, or by just a few points) is considered "stealing" the game. I wouldn't read too much into it, I don't think he meant it too offensively.
yeah that's what it's called.
gnsf
spurs also didn't have a lead since early in the first quarter.
It seems like it if you consider the 1.5+ seconds that the ball rolled around the rim...
Yeah, we stole it...whachoo gon' do 'bout it, biiish???
If we win, that shot will end my 0.4 pain...
them Heat fans say they sweep after losing game one. Spurs win all their championships after winning game one lol
agree with this
lets admit it, we didnt play well guys,
WHICH MEANS: WHAT IF WE PLAY BETTER, and we shall.....................
AHAHAHA!!
in this first game, i miss the bombs of the Red Mamba.....
the Red Mamba shall not stay silent for long....
there shall be one game where his performance is an outlier....
coz I, the Prophetess, said so!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hahahahaha
What a plastic thread!
"Steal" is the best word to describle a road win especially majority of people thought you were going to lose in the very beginning
Yay we won. now let me search the internet to find articles that offend my spurs homerism sensibilities. just enjoy the win.
Remember when the Grizzlies stole Game 1? Feels like a long time ago tbh
Solid again with the accuracy
It was a steal, because teams with home court are expected to win at home. Would have been a steal if it were a blowout, tbh.
Not sure how it can be a steal when the Spurs controlled the 4th
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Possess...ths_of_the_law
WellPossession is nine-tenths of the law is an expression meaning that ownership is easier to maintain if one has possession of something, or difficult to enforce if one does not. The expression is also stated as "possession is nine points of the law", which is credited as derived from the Scottish expression "possession is eleven points in the law, and they say there are but twelve".[1]
Although this isn't actually correct, this principle can be restated as: "in a property dispute (whether real or personal), in the absence of clear and compelling testimony or do entation to the contrary, the person in actual possession of the property is presumed to be the rightful owner. The rightful owner shall have their possession returned to them; if taken or used. The shirt or blouse you are currently wearing is presumed to be yours, unless someone can prove that it is not".[2]
