I've always liked Shaq. He was dominating, fun, and played the game the right way for his position. My only real problem with him was his being out of shape in LA, but it honestly didn't hurt his game much so I guess wgaf...

Try 20 and 14, with 4 assists and 3 blocks. At 37 years old. And this was basically a warm up game for him, testing the waters to see how far he could go. The heat have very little in the way of defense for him. I think Splitter is going to heat up as the series goes along as well.

He wasn't in the NBA yet and was starring at LSU but he was genuinely nice. He has a great sense of humor and handled fame the best way he knew how. His comments about DRob were ugly but he may have been really hurt by what he perceived was a "slight".

They started toward him and wanted to talk to David but David wanted to go home as soon as he could and not hang around in a parking lot. So he kind of waved "hi" and took off without having a prolonged conversation. Shaq took that as an insult - as a high schooler!!.

I grew up in Orlando right around the time the Magic got Shaq. I loved the guy, used to go to games, etc. I still have a ball he signed. I didn't hate him until he left for LA. Because I was a Spurs fan too I continued to hate him because I hated the Lakers. Once he went to the Heat though I didn't care anymore. Now I just think he's funny.
