We are in a great position, home court advantage in The Finals with 1 ROAD win under our belt. We showed rust in Game 1 and still won. IT is amazing now to see highlights from the season, the Blake Griffin dunks, the Jamal Crawford crossovers, the Javale McGee midairblocks while he talks on his cellphone, Durant's 3's from the next block...and they're all on vacation right now. We are the last team standing, with home court advantage in The Finals and 1 win under our belt. Gotta like it.

The wheels would fall off the Heat Bandwagon and it would crash into a brick wall if that happened.

I hope the Spurs take Game 2 seriously, hope they are not content with one win. Treat this like a must win.

Spurs have a once in a lifetime chance to shove the NBA's marketing plan up David Stern's ass. I'm trying to regulate my excitement/expectations at this point...but it's hard to reign in the happy mental images.
I can just see the pinched expression on Stern's face as he hands over the trophy.
    Perchance to dream.

Take it a step further. If the Spurs win in 5, it destroys LeBron's legacy, destroys the Heat's image, kills the legacy Stern leaves, and makes Duncan look like Thor's bigger, even more badass older brother for blocking so many elite teams from les enroute to his own throughout his career.

NBA is forced to market the Spurs from then on until Duncan retires.

Actually, just the opposite is true. It is a must win for the Heat. If they go down 2-0 heading back to SA their flight back will be to go .

Agree with everything, but not sure about the last line. I really feel if Spurs win this, that it will be the same. All next year it won't be about the Champs (If it's Spurs), it will still be all Kobe, Lebron, OKC, and everyone else. They won't want to give us a chance of repeating. They will see it as this year is our last shot and thank God for that, at least in their view. Hope I'm wrong.

As great as stealing two road games to only come back to SA three times would be, spurs fans should know not to get too excited with just a 2-0 lead.

If spurs win Game 2, this series is all over but the crying. Which is why game 2 is the biggest game of the entire season and perhaps, a few careers.

By a "fatigued" team? I mean really? I can't understand how the the Spurs can blowout a Memphis team after having to chase Curry, Thompson, Jack, Barnes all over the court with the same amount of layoff between games as the Heat had before Game 1. Superstars making excuses don't bode well for the Heat.

Game 2 is huge. If Spurs win, Miami is in a big hole. Heat wins, everyone calls game 1 a fluke and Heat ready to steal a game at the AT and T center.

Gaining a 2-0 lead on the Heat's home court, with 3 consecutive home games in San Antonio is like going up 3-0 in a series. Not only have you proven you can beat your opponent in their house, you have 3 chances to win 2 games in front of your own fans. The Spurs would most likely finish them off in 4.

All that being said, I expect the Spurs to shoot better in Game 2 and play a better overall game than game 1. Rust is gone, silly mistakes won't be made again and confidence is high. They'll need it because the Heat know its a must win game for them. We aren't far from watching the Heat experience a melt-down. I think we are going to see a lot of finger pointing coming from Lebron James and its not going to sit well with the other 2.

The role players / bench take their cues from the Big 3 of Miami and they are going to look clueless and be afraid to take shots. Just saying..

    GSG!!!

I just don't see any way Miami loses game 2. They bounce back better than any team in the past 15 years. 10-0 after losses since January. Haven't lost back to back games since then. Theyre too good a team not to imo. I just don't see it happening unfortunately.

Apples to oranges, completely opposing situations. Drawing comparisons to a different team, with HCA, in a different series format sounds purposely obtuse.

The Spurs win tomorrow, the series is over.

I agree to some extent, but if any team can break that streak, it's the Spurs.

Not at all. The trademark of the Spurs is our core performers and continuity.
Last year's debacle may not be a predictor but it is not entirely out of the picture. Especially in the wider context of the Spurs recent tendency for playoff meltdowns.
    Confident yet cautious.

A 2-0 lead with the 3/3 in your house is quite different than a 2-0 lead with 1/3 in your house.

How amazing would it be to head back to San Antonio up 2-0?

    How deflating for Lord Stern?

It is, of course, very possible. But I don't think it's likely. Spurs could still take this thing in 5 though without too terribly much fanfare...
