Kinda off topic, but I saw a meme on facebook.. It was TD looking up at the four banners hanging at the AT&T center, And it aid "What is a king to a GOD". Thought it was pretty cool.
Why does this topic keep resurfacing? It's like saying "That's not a mountain, it's really big hill". I don't care what anyone calls the Spurs. There are no real dynasties anyhow, not since the ancient Chinese ones. It's all pseudo-journalism mumbo jumbo designed to put teams in large market cities on pedestals through creative wording and marginalization of other forms of real success.
If you have to ask "are we a dynasty?" you really aren't getting much from the series.
Besides, like most other BSPN articles that seem to be about the Spurs, this is just a way to mention the Spurs as an intro to an extended discussion about the Heat or the Lakers. It's never about the Spurs.

This was the classic moving the goal posts move when the Spurs didn't repeat in the mid '00s. A way for chowderheads to denigrate a team that was doing extremely well. Who cares? Were the Paul Pierce Celtics or '04 Pistons or Nowitzki Mavs dynasties when they won their championships? No, but who the cares? They each won championships.
