Very true, plus consider that we really didn't lose by that much as the score would say, considering we gave up with 8 minutes left in the fourth.
Game 3 vs. Detroit: 96-79 L
Game 4 vs. Detroit: 102-71 L
Then Robert Horry's heroics occurred in game five and it's all history from there.
Point is, one loss, no matter how terrible, does not a series make.![]()

next three is at home. lets get it done!
Well said. Let's take next 3 games.
True but it sucks to see it happen anyway. I hope the Spurs can make some adjustments and stay in the game next time they get a gift of a first half like that.
if it's not Horry we could have lost to pistons that year
The Heat are a different kind of team though, their D is way more aggressive, they are more athletic, and they are a better offensive team.
I think the Spurs are smart enough to know that they were down up with 15 minutes left. And then they got reckless ( ING MANU) for a short span...and then couldn't match the desperation the Heat had from that moment.
The Spurs were up a point with 3 mins to go in the 3rd qtr, and then blew it. They were up a point in a game with Neal playing horrible defense, Manu forgetting how to dribble, and Tony and Tim having horrible offensive nights...
Said this in the chat... a blowout in one game doesn't mean .
