I'm just glad Spo chose to play his big 3 for so many garbage minutes.

Am I the only one who thinks this block is overrated as ? Not being a homer here either. Lebron's a 6'9" physical freak of nature and Splitter's a 6'11" softie who can barely jump over a phone book.... I mean seriously. It looked like he was going to get rim checked anyway. But ESPN will of course cream their panties over anything Lebron does.

Splitter had a huge block against Wade, right after scoring some point, when Spurs was still in the game. Then he was benched for Diaw, and comes back when Spurs is down by 10 points. Nobody talks the good stuff.

Appreciate Lebron lowering Splitter's price tag in the offseason tbh.

One of these days he will blow his knee out while padding during garbage time.

It seems only fitting that the one time Splitter elects to "man up" and go strong to the hole, that he gets denied in such a spectacular way. Considering the fact that he came up so small in last year's OKC series, following the hack-a-Splitter strategy, I only wonder whether his confidence will be shaken after this embarrassing play?

" At least, I got the News headlines" - supposedly said Splitter after de game, joking about the block.

Shoulda went up with two hands..and then wrapped the ball around Lebrons right hip and dumped it into to Kawhi, cuz he wasn't dunking on that play at all

If there's anyone who will appreciate that block by Lebron James, it's Lebron James.

In his locker in Cleveland, LeBron James of the Cavaliers has a poster of himself dunking over Tim Duncan of the San Antonio Spurs

Love this team, win or lose. There is a video put out in NYC calling the Spurs a team with class. On the other hand this great team is blessed with a GREAT number of fools who run threads like this one.

Poor Splitter. That is going to be remembered for a long, long time, especially if Miami wins. Carmelo should call Tiago and thank him tbh the nastiest block of the POs isn't on him now

Honestly, Splitter was trying to go hard to the rack, and was blocked. Far more aggressiveness than anyone else played with last night.

On a serious note, this is not going to affect Splitter. When you score near the basket, you are going to get blocked. It happens to everyone, including Lebron in the same game. Danny Green even got him on a fast break.

I have to at all the dip s on ESPN who are ejaculating all over that play. It's not like it was a game-tying or game-winning dunk that got rejected...the Heat were already up by 19 points at that moment...that block had ZERO impact on the final outcome of the game. If Splitter makes that dunk, the Spurs still get blown out.

Splitter wasn't going to make that shot ayways. He was too far out for his jumping ability to do the dunk. Did you ever see Splitter make a one handed dunk from that far out?

    ^ this, tbh

LeBron saved Splitter from the embarassment of brutally clanging that shot off the front of the rim.

The fact is that LeBron saved the Heat's season with that block.
