This is Danny Crawford's game and his crew is James Capers and Marc Davis with Bill Kennedy as the alternate.

The D. Crawford-Capers-Davis crew had Game 1 of the SA/Memphis series and Game 5 of the Miami/Indiana series.

    Will post some numbers later.

This means that Game 4 is Scott Foster's. I'm absolutely confident that Mike Callahan will be with him and feel pretty confident that Derrick Stafford will be their third.

That's always the best solution. It would help if they didn't get flustered by calls and non-calls as they seemed to in Game 2.

that . They need to win with or without the stripes they want out there. Spurs players' need to stop flopping or ing at the refs. I for one will enough for the entire team tonight about the refs.

But the Spurs have got to win this game. They were going to get refs they don't like at home sooner or later given their 3 game stance here. So man up, make your shots, play your D and take care of the ball and you'll win tonight.

Well hopefully little Danny Crawford does not hate the Spurs as bad as he hated the Mavs.

How do you feel about this FWD? Heat look awfully good with Crawford reffing.

Scott Foster is another ref that probably doesn't bode well for the Spurs if he does one of the next games, no?

We used to love Danny Crawford at home. Our record with him was great. Yeah and the fact that records with certain refs need to be talked about just goes to show how horribly this league is reffed.

Hopefully it won't matter, and the Spurs can still come out on top....but it's definitely unnerving

This is the 28th Finals game for Dan Crawford, who has worked every NBA Finals since 1995. On the other hand, this is the 2nd Finals game ever for James Capers (he worked Game 3 of the 2012 Finals at Miami) and the 2nd Finals game ever for Marc Davis (he worked Game 4 of the 2011 Finals at Dallas).

Game 3 will be the 12th playoff game that Danny Crawford and Marc Davis have worked together in 2013; Danny Crawford has worked in all of the games that Davis has worked, and has only worked one game in these playoffs without Davis (Game 2 of SA/GST). As noted earlier, Capers joined Crawford and Davis in the conference finals round and this will be the 3rd game this crew has worked together.

    SPURS
    Danny Crawford
    2-1 in 2013 Playoffs (W v. LAL (Gm. 1); L v. GST (Gm. 2); W v. MEM (Gm. 1)); 28-15 all-time (2-2 in the last 2 playoff years -- lost Game 3 of 2012 WCF at OKC); 17-6 all-time at home
home teams are 5-7 in the 2013 playoffs with Dan Crawford

    James Capers
    1-1 in 2013 Playoffs (L v. GST (Gm. 2); W v. MEM (Gm. 1)); 11-4 all-time (3-2 in last 2 playoff years); 5-3 all-time at home
home teams are 6-4 in the 2013 playoffs with Capers

    Marc Davis
    2-0 in 2013 Playoffs (W v. LAL (Gm. 1); W v. MEM (Gm. 1)); 3-2 all-time (3-0 in last 2 playoff years); 3-0 all-time at home
home teams are 5-6 in the 2013 playoffs with Davis

    MIAMI
    Crawford
    3-0 in 2013 Playoffs (W at MIL (Gm. 4); W at CHI (Gm. 4); W v. IND (Gm. 5)); 19-3 since 2004 (10-2 in Big 3 era); 8-3 on road since 2004 (5-2 in Big 3 era)

    Capers
    2-0 in 2013 Playoffs (W v. MIL (Gm. 1); W v. IND (Gm. 5)); 8-3 all-time (5-0 in Big 3 era); 2-1 on road since 2004 (no road games in Big 3 era)

    Davis
    3-0 in 2013 Playoffs (W at MIL (Gm. 4); W at CHI (Gm. 4); W v. IND (Gm. 5)); 7-1 all-time (5-1 in Big 3 era); 5-1 on road (4-1 in Big 3 era)

    I'll add this guess:

    Game 5: McCutchen, Brothers, Malloy/Phillips
Game 6: Joey Crawford, Mauer, Malloy/Davis/Capers
Game 7: Danny Crawford, Foster, Callahan

The first two games featured outstanding officiating, it did. Refs were completely 100% fair and they let both teams play physical and they kept their ticky tack fouls to a minimum. In game 2 it's like as if Joey reffing got in the Spurs' head because Timmy and Tony were just trying to initiate contact, that pisses me off! Just playing the freakin game! Timmy is the strongest big between both teams, no fading away or trying to create contact. Just back em down!

Game 2 was far from great officiating. Let's hope that game was the aberration.

Can not complain about game 2. I think Miami should have been called for a kick ball or two in the first half, but Parker and Manu were dead set on flopping and exaggerating contact rather than play.
Furthermore, i honestly counted three separate times when none other than Joey Crawford bailed the spurs out with a shady call.

For those who might be curious, here's a full accounting of the 22 Heat playoff games in which Danny Crawford has officiated since 2004:

    2013 ECF, Game 5 v. IND -- WIN (90-79)
2013 ECFR, Game 4 at MIL-- WIN (88-77)
    2012 NBAF, Game 5 v. OKC -- WIN (121-106)
    2012 NBA F, Game 2 at OKC -- WIN (100-96)
    2012 ECF, Game 6 at BOS -- WIN (98-79)
    2012 ECF, Game 1 v. BOS -- WIN (93-79)
    2012 ECSF, Game 3 at IND -- LOSS (75-94)
    2012 ECFR, Game 1 v. NYK -- WIN (100-67)
    2011 NBA F, Game 3 at DAL -- WIN (88-86)
    2011 ECF, Game 1 at CHI -- LOSS (82-103)
    2011 ECSF, Game 1 v. BOS -- WIN (99-90)
    2009 ECFR, Game 2 at ATL -- WIN (108-93)
    2006 NBA F, Game 6 at DAL -- WIN (95-92)
    2006 NBA F, Game 3 v. DAL -- WIN (98-96)
    2006 ECF, Game 3 v. DET -- WIN (98-83)
    2006 ECSF, Game 2 v. NJ -- WIN (111-89)
    2006 ECFR, Game 2 v. CHI -- WIN (115-108)
    2005 ECF, Game 6 at DET -- LOSS (66-91)
    2005 ECF, Game 3 at DET -- WIN (113-104)
    2004 ECSF, Game 3 v. IND -- WIN (94-87)
    2004 ECFR, Game 2 v. NO -- WIN (93-63)

What might be most illuminating in this is that the 3 games among these that the Heat have lost during this span are all opponent blowouts: Detroit by 25 in the 2005 East Finals, Chicago by 21 in the 2011 East Finals, and Indiana by 19 in the 2012 East Semis.

Agreed. The kick ball missed calls sucked, but you're going to get a few missed calls against you in any game no matter the name on the front of your jersey. I'd love to see the rest of the series officiated as well as the first two games.

Scott Foster is the worst ref in the league. He better not get a game 7.

the ONLY time the Spurs lost in the 2013 playoffs with Danny Crawford officiating was in game 2 of the semi-finals WC vs GSW

but I guess he has nothing to do with Klay Thompson making 8-3-pointers on that night, right?

    Danny Crawford with the Spurs-
    round 1 vs Lakers - ( 4-0) Game 1 Spurs win

round 2 vs GSW - (4-2) Game 2 Spurs loss

round 3 vs Memphis - (4-0) Game 1 Spurs win

I don't think the officials can actually rig the game.
But maybe, they can affect someone's game mentally, that could change his game in a bad way.

    Just play your game Spurs!
