Lordy, what a bunch of drama queens, and what a surprise that hater, DESPERATE for anything negative to come out of a blowout of historical proportions, was the one to start this crap thread.
He could have at least led his thread Tony Parker injury update..."

Jason Garrett of Airrosti Sports (works directly with Tony Parker) just said on Mike Taylor Show that Tony has a mild strain....Spurs could hold him out tomorrow since we're up 2-1 and resting him in G4 would allow more rest before we play again in G5.
If that is so, then the big question becomes can Corey Joseph hold his own and try to simulate what Tony Parker does for Game 4? Can Patti Mills come in as a back up, make plays, and hit every open three point shot that he takes? Can Manu go vintage for once, even though he sort of did it for last night, and lead the Spurs to victory? Can Tim Duncan turn back the clock to 2003 and dominate inside with his post moves? Can the roles players simulate what they did last night and try to repeat their performance for Game 4? Regardless of what happens, the Spurs need to make sure that they play the right way again for Game 4 which is to pass the ball (ball movement), rebound, and defend.

If true, no you don't hold him out. Maybe you hold him out of practice, but not the game. You might limit his minutes in Game 4, but this is the Finals, play if you can.

Obviously, then Manu would become the main ball handler and we would up his minutes significantly. Expect to see Gary play even more, also some of Mills....

His MRI was scheduled for 10 this morning. Unless this guy is from the future, he doesn't know anything for sure and it just speculating, like we all are.

i ain't speculating anything. Jason Garret is Tony's doctor. he was the one that announced Tony was coming back early from that bad injury a few years ago. good news: he said if they were down 1-2 he would go in G4.

so needless to say the only reason they might hold him out is if the MRI shows something worse or just as a precaution.

If Parker doesn't miss warm ups I wonder if this is even a discussion.

I think he was just being paranoid. Plus giving himself a little built-in excuse for his somewhat lackluster play in the last two games.
    another not very clever post.

he gave no excuses at all after game 2, he never gave excuses for his first quarter, he identified his issue with 5 mn to go in the third. The only excuse he gave was for 2 mn in the fourth.

parker never ed about his injuries

and btw his first half was solid, he had pedestrian stats but played a fine and intelligent game

I didn't say you were speculating, I said Jason is speculating. He hasn't had his MRI yet. They don't know anything for sure, unless this guy came from the future.

No ing way he sits for game 4.

In the Finals, against an opponent of this caliber, every game is a "must win," 2-1 lead or not.

i don't know how to explain this....he's Tony Parker's doctor. he talked to/saw Tony last night or this morning. how else would he know it's a mild strain.

This is all smoke screen to mess with Miami. Will Parker play? How will you game plan with one-day break? They are just playing mind games with Miami to tell them the Spurs's best player may sit out a game in the playoffs. He'll play, but his status won't be clear until "game time decision."

    You're dumb.

He's a physician, and Tonys physician at that. It's a bit more than speculation on his part.

That said, Parker had better get his butt out there unless his leg is in danger of rotting off.

I think the point is that until an MRI is done, he doesn't know. Minor tears aren't that easy to detect. But minor tears can get worse. I appreciate knowing that he feels good about the injury... but he doesn't know from a physical exam. (BTW - should he be talking to people out of school like that?)

But you say that he called it a "mild strain"? That's not exactly great news. I guess a lot of people don't understand that when a doctor talks about a muscle strain, it implies some degree of damage to the muscle. It's not like a bad cramp. Even a Grade 1 muscle strain means that some muscle fibers have been torn. If he is right with his diagnosis, it means that Tony would be sitting for a week or two, if this were the regular season. It also means that we are, at best, skating right on the edge.

Before you start arguing with me, take some time and look it up. I know what I'm talking about on this. Buck Harvey indicated that it was a cramp. You better hope he was right, and not the doctor who called it a muscle strain.
