Just read this Tim Keown article, he says it all. If LeBron would only accept his role as the alpha dog, the Heat would at least be up 2-1 and perhaps up 3-0.

I expect LeBron to have 20+ FTA in Game 4.

Spurs hit 16 threes because LeBron was too passive.

Surely if he would have thrown three Spurs through the rim like Tim Keown says, it would have disrupted their shooting rhythms.

I'll feed the troll a little bit... OP obviously is blaming the Spurs for the Lebron's lack of testicles during the NBA finals, and you know what, that's okay. All the Spurs can do is reluctantly win a 5th le, accept the fact that Lebron and the Heat are better than them and they would of won.. only if they would.. of you know.. actually won. But yeah, if the Spurs win this le put another asterisk next to this one and the fine print will read "Lebron's sack went missing." Excellent thread

If LeBron played by Kobe's philosophy -- roughly translated as Everybody Shut Up and Rebound -- there's no doubt in my mind he'd be up two games to one today on his way to his third NBA championship. He's just that good.
I don't see why everybody is crapping on me in this thread. Here is a Nationally Famous Sports Journalist writing that LeBron would win this series, and apparently would have won either in 2007 or 2011, if only he would be more selfish. He's just that good. No matter what happens in this series, the outcome has to do with LeBron. The Spurs are just insert-opponent-here.

Kobe's strategy only works when he has the best frontcourt in the NBA to clean his misses, tbh..

He has literally never made it to a Finals without the best frontcourt in the league..

LeBron doesn't need the best frontcourt in the league. And he only needs his teammates to rebound the misses he doesn't rebound himself. He's that good.

It would all become 0's and 1's to him if he would only realize that he is The One.

I agree he should play better, obviously, but the "Kobe strategy" only works when your team has the best frontline in basketball..

    Btw, wassup Koolaidman?..

Lebron is letting Tim get 5 so he can pass Tim and Kobe in the same year. This is obvious.

This part I can't disagree with. I have a feeling we're in for a very frustrating game tonight.

psh lebron could definitely play better bball with his skill set but the fact remains that he has not. spurs set an nba-finals record of 16 3 pointers, safe to say that lebron should not be on the perimeter and thus there was nothing he could do. spurs are definitely good.

I think a lot of Kobe's success can be attributed to having a HOF coach when getting those 5 rings as well as great frontline. Lebron's success in that regard is pretty impressive given the coaches he's had, and some rather overrated supporting cast as well.

Watch the first 15 minutes of this video and you'll know why the Lebron is struggling.
